When I bought my BMW one of the bills stuck inside the envelope, dude counted like four times and was a super dick. He handed me the cash and the envelope back. When I opened it to put the money in there was the missing $100. I laughed and almost walked off. But it's a fucking sweet bike so I didn't.

 

I've done a ton of CL deals and if I'm selling I always make the person meet within 5 minutes of my location. You're driving from Tacoma? That sucks, but you still gotta meet me in Shoreline.

If they've spent an hour driving to meet you it removes a lot of the negotiating power.

 

I'm selling a pair of once worn Polo boots and I keep getting people low balling but the funniest one was "I could really use these boots this winter. Are they steel towed?"

no fuck-face, they are not logging boots, they are not work boots. They are Ralph Lauren city boy boots which is why I'm selling them.

It shouldn't. Our market is ridiculous because we have a big influx of people moving here for high paying tech jobs. Basically Bay Area 2.0. The economist professor at my wife's work basically said as long as unemployment stays below a certain percentage, our local housing market (not national) shouldn't be affected by any future recessions since our current boom isn't fueled by sub-prime lending.

The price increases may slow down as new construction catches up to demand, but the prices overall shouldn't go down. It's ridiculous right now, some places houses are going up 5-10k a month in value. I'm prepping our place to sell; we're looking at Maple Valley right now.

Sub prime lending shouldn't have that much to do with it. If the economy tanks household luxury spending tanks as well...which will seriously affect Amazon and if they start laying off people that will absolutely affect the housing market.

I don't see prices going down for a bit though.
