All Things Bikes and Tacos! (...and every vehicle imaginable)

Minion DHR2 F/R for me. But the cheaper offering on Onza skinwalls make me consider them for my next replacement which should be in a few months.

My 26" Wilson's tires are totally shot, so I gotta figure something out for those...

 

rubber is too much money.... these Ibexs cost me more than my minions typically. Even at cost they are just kind of crazy. especially when you can run through about 4-5 tires a season... depending on how picky you are about worn down rubber i suppose. But when i race i prefer to have new rubber soooo it gets expensive

 

This was from last fall... still have a bit before the local DH trails are dry. The bike is a Canfield Jedi

 

Yeah...I go through maybe a set a season...That weekend warrior life.

Can you share the details of your bed bars? What brand, how they mount, etc. . .

 

Thanks man!! It was a hell of a 5 months figuring out how to replace my car and bike after the accident. but it all panned out aside from now having a car payment!

 

Yeah, they are just Thule Xsporter rack, but i cut the vertical bars a significant amount so that i could drop them that low, i think my Tepui will end up being just a smidge above roofline when mounted on there. i guess i should have maybe gone with a bed rack that isnt adjustable but... i get a good deal with Thule so here i am i suppose haha

Labor day sales came around when I pimped out my truck or it wouldn't have happened.

 

Yeah there is some pretty good riding and the scenery is top notch.
This is the one of a few trails that is good to ride right now. Its apparently still winter up here.

 

Well that part always sucks. But you have a good set up!

I also run the DHR II F/R. They are great all season tires. I also sometimes run the Schwalbe Hans Dampf. These tires completely hook up, until they dont. The big downfall of running softer rubber is that the corner knobs roll off before the tread wears down.
