I mean our housing market now isn't fueled by sub prime lending like it was before the recession. Also, that's why I mentioned as long as unemployment stays above a certain percentage threshold, we'll be fine. I forgot the exact number though.

I dont seem to see any PMs about it. But theres an easy way to tell if the bars will interchange between the 2nd and 3rd gen.... Initially we had 2 different mounting plates for the 2 different gens, we've since changed to a single mount plate that works on all our cargo bars, 2nd/3rd gen Tacoma, as well as fits the tundra as well(even though the bars are obviously longer, the mount plate is the same). So if the bars in question have 4 slotted holes they'll jump to any 05+ Tacoma year. If they're in fact 2016+ bars that had only the pair of holes for mounting they could be made to fit the 05-15, you'd need to drill holes higher up. The other way does not work as mentioned though, the old 05-15 mount plate is too short inside the bed to drill lower holes to hit the 2016+ tie down rail.

Sounds like they changed the mounts at one point(like CBI’s) so they would work on both 2nd/3rd Gens. So it depends on when you bought them I guess @velillen. Send a pic of the mounts and that will tell the tale.

The only wagons they make arent that fast. We would kill for a 2.5 turbo Crosstrek or Legacy wagon

Better make sure you can get ahold of AP before ordering anything from them.

As for differences- we use 3/16" plate throughout, AP uses 1/8" for a large part of the bumper. Our bumpers use a 3/4" thick D ring tab welded in, theirs is 3/8" I believe, then sleeved wider on the outside. We allow the factory license lights to be retained, AP uses different aftermarket lights.

Yup, I think I had their original bed bars and it was too short without having to cut and weld.

Yeah but if I could get rid of the truck, its worth a decent down payment. Then drive a shit beater for two years without the want to mod, so I can try and buy a house. I don't see myself being able to do it any other way. If I keep the truck I spend money because I'm dumb. I wont deny it. I don't save near as much as I should be a month because group buys happen.

No but AoA has 3 or so in the states for execs and "promotional".
There are some in MX but then getting them across the border is a challenge...

Waiting 25yr for the EPA/NHTSA to allow it, they will come in. The other challenge is getting service as there aren't any techs certified to work on V10 TT and an RS.
