Cheap Amazon. Our ram rebel has the rigid and I can’t tell a difference in the light output.

I'm waiting on my 2018 Pro and really like the Avid front guard also. I also asked the same question a few posts back, even emailed Brandon from Avid. At the time, he wasn't sure if it would interfere with the sensor. I'm hoping we get the answer soon. Until then, I'll wait. Nice truck Gitacotrd! I like the set up

I drive back to ft hood today. Got one more day of leave... if I get back before the parts store closes I’ll pick it up today. If not... probably a weekend thing.

I like the way certain bull bars look on Gen 1 & 2 Tacomas but the Gen 3 has such a long snout that it just looks out of place. Just makes the front end too long. Just my .2 cents that no one asked for.

So I follow this logic however don't metal bumpers have the same issue? I'm sure if I hit someone or someone hits me from behind the current plastic bumpers will crumble but the metal ones will transfer the impact to the frame. What am I missing ?

A steel bumper may damage the frame in a hard impact, but the trucks gunna crumple less and offer you more protection. Itll also fend off a deer much better than a bullbar.

In a very hard impact, odds are the frame will be shitcanned regardless.

The mounting hardware on a bullbar are pretty laughable, odds are its just gunna fold backwards and not actually transfer much to the frame and offers false security and less approach angle.

    Not enough to list
Please don't get a bull bar for that pro!!! Their are plenty of hybrid winch mounts that have the bar built into them. Those are functional and look clean. You will lose all of your approach angle and honestly, on a 3rd gen, it looks like ass, that's my opinion, do as you want.

Works good no errors. May lose like 3-4 inches of angle BUT it would scratch that b4 it did your bumper. 31220B4A-A9A4-49DD-B7EB-A1F03C7157EB.jpgF7A3B7D0-FA7E-480E-8A86-14D70E997BA7.jpg

The Avid guards look great on both trucks. Now that it is mounted, do you think it would interfere with the safety sense camera located below the "TOYOTA" on the 2018 pro grill?

ARB is the only manufacturer of metal bumpers that incorporate crush zones into the brackets. They are crash tested as well. Almost every domestic bumper I have seen/installed mounts directly to chassis, and will more than likely damage your frame in a accident. It's the reason the ARB sticks out so far in front of the grille.
