Shoot! Five pages is lucky. I’ve read through over 25 pages once just to catch up on what I might have missed and valuable info.

Not even comparable, thanks though, I’m having trouble wiring it up, he wouldn’t, electrical boggles my mind lol. I have no equipment for testing my connections, right now I have white on the 7-pin wired to red on the light and purple which I believe is ground wired to black on the light, and I got nothing in reverse

I put an eyelet connector on my ground wires and grounded them directly to the bumper bolts, then ties both of my hot legs from the lights directly to the middle white wire on the back of the round trailer plug. It's temporary for now till I can get some better connectors and heat shrink them

Kinda hard to see, but it's the small white wire in the very middle of the back of the round trailer plug on bumper

That’s the wire I’m connected to now, moved my grounds to frame bolts still nothing, either bad connection, or fuse maybe. Waiting on inline fuses should show up Monday, then I intend to solder everything, but I never checked to make sure the lights even work in the first place. Thanks for the picture.

Long as your regular reverse lights are coming on, shouldn't be a fuse issue. Either the ground isn't good, or you have a bad connector. I actually used a grinder with a wire wheel to strip the painted surface from the frame to solidify a good ground. When I get back to fixing my wiring, going to undercoat those spots.

So big white wire with black stripe is ground, according to my ohm meter. I can get the lights to come on touching the ground, and three (separately) of the other prongs in the plug, but nothing off the center white wire in reverse, or not. The three that have power have it as long as the ignition is in the on position regardless of reverse... any input would be much appreciated

That's a new one...my 2008 had same exact plug, and I tapped into same exact wire on it as I did on my 18. Do you have a test light?
Start truck, put in reverse then kill it, that's guaranteed. Get a test light and go directly to the front of plug where you would plug trailer into it, ground the test light or meter and check directly in the middle of the plug for power. IMG_20180403_081948.jpg

I wouldn't use the factory wiring ground, you never know what it piggies off of to get to that point, and without a relay.
I'd find a good frame boot from bumper, take it out and sand the paint off to bare metal, put according eyelet on and use that for grounding the lights.

Will do once I’m done with this work thing, thanks sir. Was getting weird readings off ohm meter from the middle plug, would spike when put in/out of reverse, then settle to 4.0 when out and 5.0 when in. I only know enough to be dangerous...

think it’s just factory f’d up reverse wire, at least I didn’t cut sheathing off of it already to solder to, oh wait! Yeah I did.

So this fuse was burnt up, more then likely from me messing around back there, but for your information that’s the fuse that powers the reverse wire to your 7 pin.

Oh yeah, now I get to find out if they point in a useful direction, or a offensive direction, will they serve the purpose of lighting the way or blinding fellow raleys customers. I definitely need reverse led’s for my taillights.

Yea, once you start with the white LEDs OEM look like crap. Here's my review of my $16 dollar reverse lights.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/led-lighting-conversion.436865/page-113#post-17517742

I am very happy with them. Install time was 10 minutes.
