The water crossing is really the only hard part. Watson Wash might give you some problems if you're open/open and have small tires, but you can bypass it also if you want. Running east to west let's you go down it which is easier surely, not fighting gravity...

Sounds like you had a good time. All the Joshua trees on the Eastern half are beautiful. Definitely a cool place. Ever wake up to any mysterious booms at night/early morning? We did the one night. Military must have been testing something out there.

Nice. We also came across a group of Navy Humvees and Tacomas that we're finishing up some sort of training out there also. I've got a video of them crossing the river while I was letting my truck dry out haha

Power, LT and full size. I think that checks all your boxes...should have had your company buy that for your daily.

That's what I was thinking. All those mods have to be $15-20K and the bed swap. I would 100% pick that thing up if I had the cash.

I’m just going to add new bushings to my uppers and add a little bit of beef to them. I’ve got an extra set of uppers laying around to I’ll clean them up and swap them. From what I’ve heard, uppers don’t really limit travel for 3rd gens so I should be good with lowers

I just finally got my uppers and lowers from metaltech and the icon LT shocks. Only took 3 months to get everything from them.

My shocks are and will still be my limiting factor. But that'll all change this summer when I switch up my shock set up, and probably limit strap. My mounts for my lowers are more bashed than anything, so they're just getting cut off and replaced with the 1/4" wall ones from CaliFab. Those should do the job and then some.

I've got original, 230k mile bushings too. So that needs to be addressed. And for reinforcing the uppers, yes. They'll likely stay the same length too

If you have a rear locker, another inch of rear travel isn't going to matter.

Guess I'll need that extra inch :anonymous:

They don't look too bad up there. But I'm sure new bushings won't hurt. Just don't know what bushings to go with.
Think I'm just as excited about the new link mounts as I am the links.
