I just finished my CHLM today after finally growing the balls to put my brand new truck's headlights in the oven.

First one took a little time cause i was being cautious but 2nd one was way easy.

    Check it out.

Yeah but either way, the truck comes with amber bulbs stock. So I'm almost positive he put new clear bulbs in it.;)

Yeah but he also changed the bulbs. The parking light bulb and the blinker bulb are amber.

Take the bulb out, mask the base and hit it with a light coat of silver engine paint. When lit, it still glows amber, but when off, it's silver. No more egg yolk look

Also, just a note that the amber side reflector is legally required on cars/trucks. Noting that, I ran a set of clear corners with a clear reflector for 7+ years on my last truck with no problems. Just wanted to make sure you knew that the reflector-less look could get you some unwanted attention if some LEO wanted to really nit-pick you.

The hard part is opening the headlights. Once open, the corner amber piece come out easily, as well as the dirty-clear looking lens that's in front of the blinker bulb. Some people leave that in, some take it out. It's all personal preference.

Looks great!! I did the same thing about 2 months after I bought my truck. I was nervous as hell. I replaced my parking light with a White LED and my Blinker with the Silvania Silverstar Bulb. I love it. Make sure you re- seal around the edges Really good. You dont want them to fog up inside.
