Have any of you guys that have been running these long term had any big complaints or would you still recommend them? I'm trying to not get bent over the table paying for a set of UCAs and these are high on my list

how easy would it be to swap these out at home? or would it be best if I take it to your place?

@Jibbs - Been running mine 2 years but only about 12,000 miles. Probably more than a 1,000 of those off road. I have the non-HD with the Moog ball joints. Running about 2” lift. No issues so far.

Thanks for the response. So I'm tracking- you have the Standard High Castor arms and you swapped out the stock balls with Moogs? What is the advantage of Moog ball joints? (I'm sure that's been covered but I havent gotten a chance to read this whole thread)

Boy quit winking at me you know that gets me going.

Thanks for the info, good to know these last a while- that's whats really putting a sour taste in my mouth about some of the other brands too- they seem to need replaced or rebuilt after what I consider 'not very long'. I don't want to spend almost a grand on something I have to replace every year and a half, you know?

Thanks for posting. I just ordered my set of ball joints. Mine don't even look bad at 3k miles, I noticed the rusting when I was cleaning my suspension last week. I live in the east coast so salted roads and beach runs don't help. IMG_3517.jpg

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
    It's a pretty simple job.
Secure truck on lift or jack stands.
    Remove wheels.
    Disconnect sway bar from spindle.
Pull cotter pin(if there is one) from ball joint stud.
    Remove castle nut.
With pitman arm puller, push BJ stud from spindle. There's other methods, but this one works best.
Tie spindle to coil springs so you don't over stretch brake lines and abs lines.
Remove the 4 BJ nuts n bolts.
    Reassemble in reverse.
Torque for BJ to UCA nuts and bolts is 25ft#'s
Torque for BJ to spindle is 45ft#'s, then turn clockwise(tightening) until you can get the cotter pin in the hole(if there is one).
Forgot the sway bar to spindle torque, but 45ft#'s seems like a good number.
Wheel nut torque is 83ft#'s, but I like 85, it's a nicer number.
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

So while I wait for my friend to pick me up so this dumbass can get some grease for his grease gun (even walked passed it at Lowe’s and thought nah I have some), I thought I would review the install of these things. If this isn’t the right thread then delete it I guess.

Install was pretty straight forward. It took me about 4 hours with plenty of breaks to cuss and throw stuff. I got so mad at the second one that I stopped drinking beer haha. Instructions were clear and there are a few videos online so it was pretty easy to understand. To the the uca bolt out is a pain in the ass on the passenger side. I had to move and bend a lot of stuff. Then I had to install it in the reverse direction to get it back in. Trying to get the washers on both sides is probably what took me the longest. If you have a second set of hands then use them haha. One thing I’m pretty disappointed with is the brake lines. The holes are drilled too far over and made it almost impossible to screw the bolt in with the brake line attached. I had to take the brake line out of the bracket and then mount it. Then I had to tape the skinnier part of the brake line into the braket so it wasn’t flopping around. Maybe I missed something there but I was pretty sure I didn’t.

Hot diggity that's good news about the ball joints. Going to be ordering some soon. I wonder how long the recall will be open for.
