It really is hit or miss on my truck. There are times when it works great and then there are times it'll throw an error and then my adaptive cruise control doesn't work.

just a tip for anyone going "aftermarket" with the TRD Pro grilles, talked to a kid at my Toyota dealer who has a 16' sport with an ebay pro grille, says he used simple green to clean bugs off it last summer and discolored the plastic pretty much ruining the color. I'm not trying to start a discussion on what not to use to clean your taco, just trying help guys out who went aftermarket with there grilles, I went O.E.M. on my 18' OR and just got a notification it arrived at home today, its the 16',17' grille and I will use sliderule's excellent instructions from the first thread for the install and will update on sensor issues if any

My '18 grille is still on backorder, along with the garnish and cable (I ordered the cable just in case the one on my OR doesn't reach). It's been about a month now, and I keep getting updates from the dealer that the items are on backorder, but they haven't canceled anything as of yet. They did request a VIN last week, and I gave them a Pro VIN in Florida from a private party seller. Luckily, I'm not in any hurry. . .:D

    I agree 100%.

The dark grey looks much better than the chrome. I think if I just painted the chrome bezel around the outside of the grill it would have made a huge difference.

I think the stock looks much nicer but not as cool I guess. If it wasn't a sub $200 mod and so easy I would haven't did it so quick.

I have a 2018 TRD OR and I installed the knock off Pro grill and made my own plastic protection, did not need to recalibrate and everything has worked fine since November, has anyone else made their own plastic protection and had any problems?

I wonder if someone who actually purchased a 18' TRD Pro is able to pass their VIN to someone who doesn't have a Pro and they'll be able to order an OEM pro grille?

I use the 2017 Pro grille with the garnish and haven't had any issues with the radar. It deactivates often enough as is in the snow anyways.

My knockoff will be up for grabs once this arrives if someone doesnt want to deal with ebay
also my 2018 trd or grille will be available in a couple weeks
