    No grill or wheels?
Fenders I'd say probably 2-4 cans (for 5-6 coats)
Badges leave on and tape around tooth pick letters to peel access off. 1-2 cans depending how well you do it and plan out to save spray. Mostly 1/2 to 1 can. (4-5 coats)
Bumper nose on front or back?
    Front I'd say 3-4 cans (5-6 coats)
    Back about same.

Probably 7-10 cans and can always return unused cans. Always get more than you think you need then return unused when done.

Yeah, just the two side tacoma's, pulling the rest off. I have a Chinese pro grill on the way so no need to worry about that, and just the front valence I think its called. Probably just buy 10 and take my time on it. Return what is unused.

Anyone have any tips on the holes in the valence from the license plate mount? I took that off but hate those holes. Maybe just buy an unpainted one? IDK about that cost though lol

What is the playing card method on wheels we're talking about?

Its more of flash cards or note cards, but you stick them between the wheel and tire to prevent overspray.

Completely unnecessary with plastidip. id actually go as far as saying it might make the spray job worse because you cant get down where you want and need and you could pull some up when lifting the cards out and not allow the spray to get all the way down into that crevice between rubber and wheel.

the great thing with plastidip is when you spray it, as it "hardens" or becomes vinyl like, it will create a break between that spot where the cards are inserted. then all you have to do is peal off the overspray. if you are like me and enjoy picking dead skin when you sunburn, its actually quite satisfying. watch this video. skip to 12:40 if you want to see the overspray peel off.

I'll have to watch them! I love peeling stuff like that. I don't plan on dipping my wheels but some badges and fenders will make for a fun time I'm sure. Just gotta wait for some warmer weather

@Pikestaco would you recommend spraying the vinyl wheel covers? Just for an added layer and to cover any areas that might be shining through?

Just curious did you paint over the chrome emblem or did you dip emblem and paint over the dip?

Nah. If you’re gonna use dip there is no use for the covers. On all my other cars I’ve dipped wheels. But now did the covers since it was easier and different look than all blacked out.

I figured. Would it not help hold the covers or add an extra base? I already have the vinyl on my wheels and they look fine. I was just wondering if dipping them would help last longer while filling in the places my fat thumbs didn't cover

Thing is with plastidip you can’t just use it as a touch up. It’s all or nothing. So you’d have to completely spray the wheels with tons of coats. Thus rendering useless the vinyl stickers.

I could be misunderstanding what you’re thinking also.

I followed your lead though and blacked out the interior with rrentops vinyl. Looks so much better

Any pics of the vinyl? I am torn between dip or the stickers to hide the machined part of the wheels that I have seen for sale on here.

It wasn't a full can, but I was able to get 3 or 4 full coats, then 3 or 4 more touch-up coats. Could easily use another can.

Yeah I was basically wondering if it could be used as touch up or just to make the cover up last longer. You understood correctly haha
