When driving on a smooth road there is no clunking, i never noticed untill today after a hard snow. When driving there is a clunking sound and i can feel it right under my feet. I checked all the nuts and bolts and everything is tight how it should be. I figured it may be the front drive shaft going to the front diff but not sure how to check the ujoints, also thought maybe it could be the lca bushings but no clue how to check them either. Any help or other ideas welcomed!

Have you checked the sway bar end links and the bolts that hold the sway bar on? That is a good starting point, lots of folks have clunking caused by that

I had the same issue after installing my Bilstein 5100s and it ended up being the brackets that hold the sway bar in place.

I have a cluck to, just as I'm stopping and mostly as I park or take off...
Sounds like something is sliding back and forth but drives fine..
I'll be rebuilding my lower control arms in a few weeks hopefully that fixes it or find it...

I think my lower ball joints are bad but I have no wheel movement and they don't squeak..

I have fox coils and no sway bar..

In some models the steering shaft clunks while on rough road or off road. You put a zip tie through the steering shaft to eliminate the noise. Search for the thread. I’m sure there are about 20 of them

My 2005 prerunner had frame failure Aug 2024
i had that and it was a horrible sound. my mechanic found out that the leaf spring at the back had broken and was banging the frame. it sounded like a front end issue to me. it was how the sound was traveling thru the frame.
