Today I discovered that the paint on both the left and right side of my truck along the bottom edge is not smooth. It’s bumpy and slightly mottled. It’s like this for about the bottom six inches of the whole left and right side, as if there was an issue while painting.
I’ll try to snag a picture here in a bit, but wondering:
    1. Anyone else had this problem?
    2. What is a good dealership response to this?
    Pictures coming soon.
Figures I’d discover an issue after finally getting the truck set up just how I like it.

Edit: SOLVED. As described, paint issue appears to be the “orange peel” textured paint applied at factory for debris protection.

sounds like you are talking about the rock chip protection on the bottom edge. on all new vehicles.

Sounds like you're looking at the "orange peel" textured paint that is put on that way to resist wear from road debris.

[Edit] Yeah, what the guy above me said. D'oh!.

Is that spray on protection? My 16 didn’t have that to my knowledge, and the stealership never told me about it. “Orange peel” describes it to a T, so it’s probably that.

Don’t know how I didn’t notice that on my 16. Glad it’s a feature and not an issue, had a mini heart attack this morning when I noticed
