You should be fine without sliders. There were a lot of less capable trucks out there. Its not bad just long. I would plan on doing it over 3 days/2 nights so you can take it nice and easy!

I wanted to do 285s but I didn’t want to add much more weight or put additional strain on the drivetrain. I will be towing in a couple of weeks and report back.

I've had a silver tacoma since 05. Really like how easy it is to keep clean. I'm trying to get an 18 in silver, but it's 2 months out. I could get a cement today if i wanted.. How easy is the cement to keep clean? Anyone had silver previously and gone to cement? I like to keep mine clean and the lack of second step of clear on the cement bothers me. On the Silver, there is a second step clear coat.

Cement has clear coat and is quite easy to keep clean. I’ve had mine for for just over a year.

I have had silver, and now cement. Just as easy to keep clean. The cement is clear coated, just like the silver.

What makes you think the cement doesn't come with a second step of clear?

Apparently it's a single stage process unless it specifies metallic in the paint name. I was pointed it out by another member in the Super White thread.

I think a lot of people who haven’t seen it in person think it’s flat grey lol

It's not a single stage, it has pearl in it. White is the only single stage

I've seen it, it's definitely not flat. I really like it. But I have dealt with taking all the little road grime spots off my wife's superwhite Rav4 the last couple years. It's amazing how much faster it shows up on there than my silver.

There was a link from a toyota rep explaining that there is indeed no 2nd clear.

So maybe cement is different because it's pearl. You kind of sound like you know everything.

I agree with you on the super white, it is a PITA. I think the cement is actually easier than the silver, it shows less. I was surprised.

Maybe you should just wait and buy a silver. I never said I knew everything, but every few months someone pops in here claiming this/that about the paint without owning the color.

I didn't claim to know anything. That's why I was here asking. I was told and given a link by another member stating that unless it specifies metallic, there is no clear. I honestly didn't know the cement was Pearl, that is probably a similar process to metallic. At least be cool about it man.
