Yup, that's the screw you need to turn. You can adjust it with your fingers (no tools needed), but it'll take some finger strength. Otherwise, you can use an 8mm wrench to turn it.

It's a great idea to use a permenant marker to mark the top of the bolt in the stock spot. Then you can see how much you have turned it. I ended up turning it about 1.5 times to raise it to a proper level. I can't remember if it was CCW or CW, but you'll figure it out after you start. PRO TIP: If you go the wrong direction, just turn it back the other way. ;)

LOL Love the "Pro Tips" thanks! Made me chuckle.

I think Up is CW and Down is CCW from what I read.

The cutoff seems fine to me, what are you all seeing that necessitates this adjustment?

Here is another question, does anyone know why the stock lights have that additional 2 “towers” of light on top of the cut-off line?

I was the one asking. I wanted my cut off a bit higher so I could see farther out. Once i exchanged the stock bulbs for the Hikari LED’s, I feel like I might have sacrificed some distance.

The cut-off is at the same spot but lost the “towers of light” that allowed me
to see a little further ahead.

Gotcha but don’t you think you might be blinding people at if it goes any higher? I noticed that behind a sedan at a red light like a Camry for example, the cut off is right at thier upper trunk, right where it should be with any other vehicle, no? If the cutoff behind another car is thier rear windshield, then that would be incorrect? I’ve never noticed these towers before...

That might be the case. Unfortunately for them, I am a selfish SOB. ;)

I really just want to raise it about 6”. Should be too bad on others and would help me quite a bit.

These "towers" are what I have been referring to as additional boxes of light above the cutoff beam. And are exactly what I have been saying you can get back if you spend $200 for the GTR Gen 3's. It is not worth it to me so I, like others, am going to raise mine just a little more but so much as to blind people. Just a tad. They are damn near perfect now, but need to be up about 2" at 25' from a wall. I think that will do it.

Ditto. That is what I will be looking to do.

I wonder how the GTRs manage to get those boxes back?

What is so different about the GTRs?

If Im gonna spend $200 on LBs, I might as well go HIDs.

I might have been in a unique situation, but mine were not angled properly from the get-go. To use the same examples that you did, the cutoff was occuring just above the license plate of a sedan...not at the top of trunk. Now that I adjusted it up a bit, it is at the top of the trunk but below the rear window of a normal sedan (I actually checked it with a few sedans that park along the side of my road...lol).

I adjusted it by pulling up to a wall about a foot way from it. I marked the cutoff line and then backed up about 25-26 feet and marked the cutoff again. If it's properly adjusted, it should only drop about 2-3 inches. Mine was droping between 6-7 inches...almost 3 times as much as it should have been.

Headlight Revolution is where I watched the video. I think the bulbs are just a little different. I think they are adjustable too. We can adjust ours but I am not sure it helps and it is not anything I would do because I am not as skilled as others. You have to remove the bulb from the collar and redrill two new holes. I have tools but I am clumsy. Those collars are delicate and will break. Ask me how I know.

Yea, I keep saying I think I'll get a little more distance with a tiny adjustment and I will be golden. One thing to keep in mind, that adjustment screw raises or lowers the low beam and high beam simultaneously. Too far up and your high beams will be in the trees. Right now mine are perfect. And don't get me wrong, I am honestly completely satisfied, I just want more distance because I know it it will be better.

Funny, originally I was told to Lift the Truck. And I am. But honestly, if I added the lift it would be right where it should be.

I am going to raise mine slightly as well. Was going to do it tonight but wife came home a day early from the spring break Florida trip so it will be tomorrow night. Mine are near perfect but just want a hair more. Looks like it is better to remove the m10 bolts of the washer tank because there is no room with the 2 sets of Hikari boxes in there. That will help me a little. My K&N box does not help with tank movement. Has anyone figured out which cw or ccw direction of the screw moves them up. Not a biggie because I will know as soon as I turn the screw. I plan on doing the 25' wall check first.
