@Star-Lord you still got that stump grinder sitting on the side of your house Kidding I know it is long gone.

 

I need to get rid of a big stump and cannot easily get a grinder in the backyard. Any suggestions?

I have heard their is a liquid you can get to dissolve it but not really wanting to put chemicals in the stump near two other trees.

It basically rots the stump from the inside out, and you can just break it up and toss it. I have only done it once, but it does work, granted it is not as quick as a grinder, but if you're not in a huge rush.

I did that with a stump.
Drilled holes, put some powder and water in there. Pretty sure it's not toxic to grass or other trees, just breaks down the stump.
Anyway, got impatient and burned it.... several times.... gas, diesel, you name it.
Ended up with a charred stump with holes in it. Finally gave up.

A couple of years later, the wife asked some landscaper guy how much to remove it. He kicked it and it crumbled. No charge

 

Thinking about going larger on me front lift..... hmmmmm
