So it looks like I was misled. Sorry guys. It is the Oval cause they ahve the 3rd gens listed under the oval:

Under compatibility it says the round ones are for 2005-2011 Tacomas. Oval ones are for 2012-2017.

 

Yep, ours look round but I guess just slightly oval.

 

Even the diagram on the "oval" page looks round to me





I guess it's a really good thing I just let @kustom54lighting send me the right one during the group buy last month.

Fitment? Any rubbing? Those tires look 'skinnier' than I would have thought for 12.5" wide.

Defnintely the Morimoto ovals for my 2016. Put 'em in a couple of days ago. I found it easy to pop off the bezels, take the grille off (2 bolts, two plastic fasteners,) and then the air deflectors on either side of the radiator (just a couple of push pins -- the deflectors rotate out.) Installation was easy when you could grip the bulb from the outside and hold it in place while getting the single screw started. Plus, they really needed adjustment, and getting to the adjustment screw was simple from the top. I faced the truck toward the garage door, turned on the stock fogs with just the parking lights, marked the top of the beams on the door with some blue painter's tape, swapped the Morimotos for the OEM bulbs, then adjusted them so the top of their beams touched the tape. While I was at it, I made sure that the botom of the low beam pattern touched the top of the fog light beam (I have the Hikari/Phillips LEDs in both my high and low beams -- see the LED thread.) Bring on the fog!

 

I haven’t heard of DC Sports since the ol’ import days (late 90s/early 00s). I had no idea they were still around!

 

Ordered, and received Headwaters Seat covers in Kryptek Raid/Tactical Grey - will follow-up with pics once installed!

 

I did that with the stock lighting and it made a big difference.

How did you get them to stick?

 

When you reach his level.....you just WILL them to stick and they do so.




For the rest of us......velcro backing is needed.
