Were you sleeping under the tonneau cover? I thought about doing the exact same thing with the awning and all lol. The factory tonneau cover leaks some so I decided against it

Dude that is OUTRAGEOUS!! I used to be an insurance agent through Nationwide direct for a couple years and if I would’ve had something in my mouth I would have spit it out lol. That’s 300/mo just for the trailer? When I Bought my taco in July, I was with farmers and they were crazy high. I switched to progressive and I have the highest bodily injury coverage they offer, highest property damage coverage, uninsured and underinsured to match, 3 vehicles-2017 Kia Optima ex,the taco and liability on an 08 Altima plus renters insurance all for 220/mo.

Now that I finally have a soft topper on my truck i need to get out there and start exploring and camping again. I grew up with a 3 season family cabin in the NY mountains and the bug is coming back in a bad way as others have said the mountains are calling and I must go.

I’ve seen guys use muffler clamps to add surface area to cross bars. Worth a shot. $10 in clamps

First camping trip of the 2018 season to my usual place, Shenandoah Valley Campground in Verona, Virginia - USA. Had a smaller crew with me this time, including my Australian Shepherd (who always comes along). The dashcam video is from a Garmin Dash Cam 55 with enabled GPS and audio recorded at about 9:00 AM EDT on 3/31/2018. This was the first weekend the Campground was open and low temps the previous night were about 30F. ENJOY!

Finally, I've got some pics worthy of posting here! Spent one night in the Nanatahala NF, and one in the Pisgah NF. These pics are only in the Pisgah because of the views. I really love the Slumberjack, I got to leave the side windows open about 50% during a thunderstorm.

In the Nantahala, we stayed in Blue Valley Dispersed Campground, Google it, you'll find it. In the Pisgah, we camped off of Old NC 105, along the western rim of Linville Gorge. You can find some stuff online, but just drive along that road, and you'll see PLENTY of sites.
