Maybe it's just Cali driver's are awful.

Actually that's confirmed. Since the influx of Californication here the driver quality has gone way down. :)

I learned welding at my high school along with mig and forge welding with a oxygen/acetylene torch. Didn't have much shop time cause the teacher taught us more about farming and John deeres than welding

I have a Prius and a Tacoma. I accelerate at the same rate and drive at the same speeds in both vehicles. Hell in fact the Prius accelerates much quicker.

I think you hit the nail on the head - it's more about the city planning than the people that drive in them - there's bad drivers all over the world lol

That's why driving in Boston sucks so much lol

I used to drive from VT to NJ and back monthly. Massholes are awful.

I never understood how it was just accepted you could drive 65 mph in the shoulder of a highway.

Just go to Detroit if you think that's wild. Shits like Nascar there, 95mph and I can't pass anyone

What cops, the whole metro area is broke as shit. My dad met a former cop at a bar and the cop told him to just go through red lights slowly in the main downtown area for risk of carjacking.

lol it's basically impossible to get a speeding ticket in LA - I don't know what you would have to do to get one. Plus whenever you think you're close to running a red light, there's always someone who's running the intersection behind you. That said, people in LA drive pretty courteously for the most part.

Stick is lots of fun, I have a feeling I've lost my touch though as it's been like 3 years since I have had to do it.

I could lay a pretty decent bead or it looked decent anyway. Only ever used 6010 (6011?) and 7018 though haha.

Eventually id like to build a flat bed for my truck, which i would need to weld so I guess that’s a good reason to learn.

    That’s a ways off though...

I used 6013 which was good for blasting through rust and other garbage. 7018 is nicer for things people are going to see though haha

I had 2nd gen steel wheels with 285/75s and had to run a 1.5" spacer to keep the tires from rubbing the frame at full lock. That put my offset around -6 I think.

What is needed to fit 305 70 R16 tires again? I lost the sticky note I made for it and 35's. I won't be getting 35's till my LT is done and set in along with weight

Gonna depend on your wheels. And, those are relatively wide tires, so you'll have more rubbing than narrow tires.

You'll at least require cutting/hammering all of the pinch weld for wheels with stock backspacing, as well as reforming/trimming of the plastic wheel liner. Aftermarket wheels with lower backspacing are likely to require additional hammering of the firewall, and minor reformation of the fender sheet metal near the pinch weld. Finally, you may start running into other issues here (e.g. placement of the wiper fluid reservoir).

Edit: funny, I was just thinking 'bout writing something down in this space since it gets asked so much. Maybe I will actually get to it in the next week or so...
