so I’m getting ready to fab a snorkel using 3” aluminized steel (cuz I don’t have a spool gun for aluminum). How big is the anchor (on the safari or arb or whatever ) point to the A pillar? Think a 3” contact patch to screw into the A pillar is enough?

    True story.....

Years ago (1991) I worked for Toyota in MD. I was big into Nirvana, and well pretty much the whole grunge scene; flannel and long hair included. A guy I worked with in Finance at the dealer was on the phone, saw we walk past and says loudly "Ever heard of a band called...Nirvana?" and I said "Yes!" and he says "I am talking to the drummer...say hello." In a freakishly small world encounter, this Finance manager, an older gent used to date Dave Grohl's mother, and at the time she still lived in Springfield, VA. The guy I worked with had no idea who Nirvana was, (he was a country music guy) and had called to talk to the mother, and Dave had answered the phone, home for the holidays off tour. They made plans to meet and I got my Nirvana CD autographed.

    Fast forward to 1995....

Dave Grohl had just released the first Foo Fighters album. The guy I worked at Toyota with scored us tickets, and back stage passes. After the concert we met Fugazi, L7 and countless other bands. Dave Grohl then invited us to a private show the next night at the Black Cat - which we again got to attend and go backstage. He also gave us shirts (which I still have mine - I plan to put it in a shadow box) and I also have a drumstick from the show. I have a polaroid somewhere with Dave Grohl, I will try to find it. He's a super nice guy and not at all pretentious. He told us stories of which people he'd met that were cool (Keanu Reeves, Tom Petty) and other that were jerks. He also said Wynona Ryder was a beast in the sack. haha.

Now my life is boring, but for those two days in 1995.... :headbang:

From his youtube channel @quis23 found out for us.

Lol yeah I'm banned until May 1 for the following offense: I send new members a private message greeting welcoming them to Tacomaworld and letting them know I'm here if they have any questions. In the message I also include links to my Youtube channel and Amazon page. One of the moderators told me to stop including the link to my Amazon page in those messages, which I immediately did, and they still banned me a few days later. Make sense to you? (Because it sure doesn't to me)

Rule of thumb - Don't try to sell used dildos and butt plugs on TW.

Not saying he tried - Just a hypothesis

Should I go bigger? If his was plastic mine is going to weigh a bit more. Did it use rivets or just some self tappers?

I think it came with self tapping screws, but we didn't use them....didn't want to drill holes in the A pillar for fear of leaks. So we used double-faced tape. It was already very solidly mounted to the fender
