I’m looking into lifting my trd off-road about 2” front and 1” in back.
From my estimation that would place my off-road with a stance/height of a pro.

I’ve searched here and various company’s websites, yet would be great to hear from someone with real world experience.

    Thx

    Welcome to tw.

Pros have no rear height difference with any other models. Fronts people will debate if there is an extra 1 inch or not on the fox pro coils.

Thanks did not know the rear was the same height. So best way to raise the front 1” would be new coil overs.

Toyota lists the Pro as having greater approach, and breakover angles compared to the Off Road model.

Would that not indicate greater body height?

Limited has the front air deflector.

Am I reading this wrong? Looks like it says the pro has a lesser departure angle.

    19 Pro vs 23 OR & limited?

Take a look at the Fox 2.0 Performance Series Coil-Over. I just ordered these, and can't wait to get them on my truck.

When you get the fox 2.0s on let us know how the ride is.
I'm torn between Fox 2.0. 6112s, and 2" Sway a ways, for front.
So to me coming down to smoothest, lean free control.
If you adjust the height. How about reporting how easy that is to do.
I've read got to compress spring to be able lower the Fox.
    Good luck with your install.

    You’re right.

Lifting the front of the Pro model increases the approach and breakover angles by lifting the front end and mid section of the vehicle, but that decreases the departure angle because the rear end section of the bed/bumper/hitch behind the rear axle is rotated downward closer to the ground.

Sounds about right. They added 3 degrees to the short front overhang on the truck by lifting it, but because the rear overhang is longer than the front overhang, the angle is decreased by 4.4 degrees.

To keep the departure angle the same as or greater than the Off Road model, the Pro model would also need to lift the rear end with taller leaf springs, longer shackles or blocks.

It would appear that they didn’t lift the rear of the Pro with taller springs. I don’t know.

The Pro might have uniquely tuned rear leafs, but from the published specs, it could be determined that they are not taller leaf springs. That is, if the specs are correct.

So, in stock form, compared to the other models, you could call it a Bro Pro.

As the stock Pro is 1 inch taller than the Off Road on the front end, it would seem that your stance would be 1 inch taller than the Pro, both front and back.

From the departure angles listed by Toyota in their specs, the Pro model departure angle is lower than the Off Road and Limited models. This would indicate that while the Pro model may have a uniquely tuned rear end, it is not lifted.

That is, if the specs are correct.

Mods: Is this still a Tacoma?
What do you mean by front air deflector? You mean the air dam? How does that come into play with ride height? If the air dam is indeed what you’re referring to, then I dont think height is based on what’s attached to the bottom of a bumper, rather gap between wheel and body or from floor to hood is a better measurement...what am I missing here? I’m not seeing how this relates to anything unless you mean something else because some of the other trims come with that air dam as well with off-road trim being the other exception. Please enlighten me, I am not being sarcastic, just trying to learn. If my assumption on what you meant is completely off, then I apologize in advance...

Also, since some are debating if the pro is indeed taller or not, in my opinion something about the pro’s stance does seem different than all the others from looking at it in pictures and in person.

The pro definitely has height on a sport & OR. Roughly an inch as others have indicated
