I like the diesel, but they are kind of ugly IMO. They would make a good work truck, though.

If they want to become successful here, I would highly suggest working on how that truck looks. Looks ugly, and it looks like Kia made a truck.

Looks like a 1st gen face with jeep grill, land rover cab and early 70's Ford courier bed. Kinda lumpy and weird collection of different body styles. The function should far outweigh the form if they're gonna sell many. Ugly but very functional/useful with decent pwr/mpg....that'd sell a bunch depending on prices.

Agreed, I like the idea of them coming to the states. Then maybe Toyota will realize there is a market here for Turbo Diesels and would start selling their Hilux with an added straight axle and v8 option. :D

When i was in india 4 years ago this thing was just about coming out. by the way this is an Indian made truck (doesnt make it better worse or anything in between). I'll tell you one thing. These things dont fucking break. my family is from south india where the roads are just absolute garbage (like 6 foot around 2 foot deep potholes)and these things manage it no problem.

Looks like it might have what it takes to be a nice work truck.

somebody that's good with photoshop should put some AR rockcrawlers n a 3" lift on the truck. Kinda curious how this would look. With a satoshi grill, lift, wheels, and cab it may look halk decent!

I hope Mahindra's entry into the US market convinces a lot of other makers there's still a market for small, economical, utilitarian pickups here.

My biggest gripe so far is that (according to the last news reports I saw ...) they're only going to import trucks with automatic transmissions.

I like idea of the entire truck...but like most of you I think the looks will take some getting used to. I do, however, like the tie-downs on the bed...old-school style.

I can't Fricken WAIT!! Bring that baby over here so we can look at it. Hell I'd buy one in a New York minute just to create the market.

Exactly what alot of guy want!! They will make it if they are realiable and according to reports everywhere this truck is sold it is very solid.

And that price for a diesel...LOL BRING IT!

I was about to say the same thing. Also they may redesign the look for US consumers. Other companies change the looks for us all the like the 4 door for ranger got a whole redesign and mixed it with an explorer the named it a sporttrac. I like the idea though.
