I bought another truck, so I either have to sell my Taco or my Mercedes Convertible. right now, I'm leaning to one truck, one cabriolet :)

    so...

Silver 2008 Tacoma TRD Off Road Access Cab 4x4 6-speed stick shift...
36000 miles total. 20k are 'mine', owned it two years.

    • 5 BFG A/T KO2 tires installed when I bought it 2 years ago (now have 20k mostly highway miles on the 4,. with ~70% tread, the spare is still unused 100%...). I also have the original TrailCrap spare (unmounted), 0 miles, but 8 years. I was going to slap it on a rim I never got and use it as a 2nd spare for the offroading I never did.
    • I have the Toyota TRD neoprene seat covers, but took them off to enjoy the like-new fabric SR5 seats.
    • TRD pedal covers, TRD floor matts.
    • I added a body-matched Snugtop, and put Yakima rack bars on top, and a dimmable R/G/B dome light.
    • Lund brand chrome nerf bars with a big wide rubber step.
    • I added a Tekonsha trailer brake controller
    • I added a Pioneer DEH-X6900BT stereo which includes bluetooth with speakerphone, USB and Aux front panel, factory speakers.
    • I added a Toyota bed matt.
    • LED dome and reading lights.
    • It has a 'Tech Deck' on the dash with a Ram Mount 1" ball, makes a real stable cell phone mount.
    • I added Firestone Ride Rite airbags to level the truck when you're carrying a heavy load in back, and 'real' Bilstein 4600 shocks (the OE Toyota Bilsteins are much weaker)
there's a couple small dings on the hood and driver side windshield pillar from the PO's garage, something fell on it. you have to look to see them.

When I got the truck, it had been garaged for 5-6 years, so I had all fluids replaced, using Redline in the transfer case and differentials, synthetic engine oil, toyota coolant, etc etc. its since been serviced every 7000 miles by Santa Cruz Import Truck Service. I change the air filters after every road trip that involved significant gravel road dust. The one time I went out on a dry salt lake for a weekend, I totally pressurewashed the undercarriage when I got home

This truck runs like new, and is totally tight and clean like new inside and out. Christmas, we drove SCruz to Reno to Dallas and brought a trailer home from Dallas, 3800 mile round trip in 4 days, no worries.

$18000. PM me with your email and/or phone if you're interested. I can show the truck anywhere within an hours or so drive, but we should close the deal at my bank here in Santa Cruz.

thats what I paid for it 2 years ago with 16k miles, but I figure the upgrades more than cover the miles I put on it :)

when I bought it, I was a bit worried about the 'garage queen' aspects of a long parked vehicle, but with fresh fluids and tires (oh yeah, brake flush, too), its been AOK. I forgot to mention, I had Marty at Import Truck go over the whole thing when I first bought it, and he found some slightly undertorqued hardware on the chassis and drive shaft, and torqued them down to spec, then double checked 8k miles later, and pronounced it good.

in Taco land, the 'long bed' is shorter than a standard pickup's 'standard bed' (Taco 'long' is 6'1", while a F150 or whatever normal bed is 6'7", my F250 long bed is 8'2")

that all said, we're on hold for selling this, wife has suggested we wait til we get back from our first long road trip with the F250 and trailer to be sure that's what we want to do... I'll repost when we make up our minds. Also have a couple locals very interested at the asking price, including a friend of my Toyota mechanic, so....
