I don't know how they came in, but they had traversed two mud holes by the time we found them

I'm helping my best friend do the Warn semi-hidden winch bumper insert on his 4Runner tomorrow with the Smittybilt winch. I'm excited to see how it turns out.

It should be a good day. I need a good day, I've been having an awful run of days at work lately.

One of the times I was there I pulled a GTI out of the entrance where I usually go into the area. He was stuck and his girlfriend was giving him a ton of shit

An older lady died maybe 10 years ago trying to take Arthur Pease Rd. in Middlefield to get to Peru. Middlefield plows their bank to the side, so she just kept going until she got halfway through and got stuck. Don't remember if she tried walking or froze in her car. Can't seem to find the news article on it.

I can easily see that happening, especially to an old person who has no fat on them to resist the cold. It's a terrible thing, but I don't know what to do since things are clearly marked, at least in my area.

We pulled this girl out as the sun was going down. I was supposed to be out to dinner 30 minutes away and wouldn't have been there to help her, at the last second I told my wife I want to eat at home and didn't make the turn down to the restaurant. She easily could have been walking a few miles in freezing weather in the dark if I had decided to eat out. Our nearest neighbor about a mile away doesn't actually live there. While there are others close to that, the girl was in regular clothing and I didn't see a coat or a hat around, so while she would have lived, it would have been miserable and dangerous.

Lots of houses up there are ones you wouldn't want to stop at, too.

I know one guy on Chapel Rd had "If you weren't invited, leave" written on a sheet of plywood at the end of his driveway. Not sure if that's still there or not.

It is! He has a new neighbor from down the hill in Adams who is a big hunter who is big on not trespassing too. He showed up at my house 7am one morning while I was burning with his gun looking for the guy who put a deer stand near his property lol. Ended up in a war with some hunter from NY, broke his stands, called the cops and left threats on his truck. That hunter never came back

Lots of people who live in Savoy are here for a reason. They hate people/want to live in a way society might not like/ or they hate fucking people. That is about all you got up here and most are heavily armed and not welcoming. That said, there are very nice people up here and I like almost everyone I know up here. But historically Savoy is a town of misfits who didn't want anything to do with society.

edit: I have multiple family members up here and so does my wife. Most of us don't like people, one doesn't fit with society and I think we are all armed.
