Definitely bro! I'm in Canyon Lake a lot on weekends, got a little place up there. Straight shot down 281 to SA. Got to get together next chance. I really appreciate all you've done for me for real. Answered a shit ton of questions and have been REALLY patient! I pretty much copied all of yours and @AustinNative hard work y'all put in! Like I said I hope to pay it forward. Also need to get with @AustinNative next time I'm in Austin. Got a lot of my family there as well.

If we were in the car world and I was pulling off some trick shit, I wouldn't be so sharing (and nobody else really does either) lol. The truck/Tacoma world is entirely different in that regard. Hit me up to burn one when you're in town. Although, the usual cigars I smoke are Swisher Cigarillo Diamond minis...and I dump all the tobacco out and uhh...yeah. Good times. And just when Austin CNC moved closer to me...it appears to be struggling to find a location. Anyway good luck with the truck, glad you like how it turned out, and *edit* looks good with the new shoes. (I posted before I saw you had a new pic)

Absolutely will do. My first Tacoma but this is a lot like biker world; always willing to share info to help a brutha out! Can't wait to get it out on the highway up to central Texas and see how bad my gas mileage is now!:yay:

    Shouldn't be that bad.

Go ahead and put some 35s on there. Make sure they are on some wide ass wheels. Then get back to me about the MPGs ;)

Is this right? Before lift both the output and prop sections were in a completely straight line from the tranny yoke, through the carrier bearing and all the way to the rear pinion.
    drive shaft pre lift.jpg

Post-lift (5.5"), they now look like this...
    drive shaft post lift.jpg

I've got the slightest bit of wobble on the output shaft just in front of the carrier bearing-

(first 20 seconds is all you need)

I've read @TscotR214 TW thread "Driveline Vibrations Solved" but am more confused now than before. I've Googled the shit out of this question, but there are as many "cures" as there are people with lifted Tacos- "shim the rear axle more, pinion angle needs to match tranny output flange", "angles at carrier bearing don't matter", "angles at carrier bearing DO matter, but not if pinion and tranny angles match", etc. etc. etc... I know this isn't the drivetrain thread but since we all have Maxtrac lifted Tacos here, I know you all have a wealth of knowledge as to what I need to do?

Do I need to lower the carrier bearing some more AND shim the rear axle some more? FYI, my Maxtrac blocks already came angled, although I'm not sure how much... :annoyed:

Hey witch hole did you use for the rear block. The middle or the offset?

Middle... and oddly enough @SpruceTaco and I talked about this. He and his son both have almost identical Tacos and almost identical setups, and one of them used the center hole and the other the offset hole. So I flipped a coin, even though instructions from Maxtrac did mention offset hole would help installer with pinion angles when using high lift. Sounds like I could have guessed wrong. ??

So I started my lift today. Didn’t finish it. I have a 4 inch spindle with the bilstein set at 2 1/2. Started with a measurement of 24 and now it’s 29. That’s only 5 inch. Can anybody tell me what’s wrong. Or can anybody tell me what there measurement was when they started please.

If you used your stock coils and the Bilsteins are set to ZERO, then that would be why. I got a full 6.5" in the front but I used OME 887 coils because they added 2.5".:confused::confused:

I set the bilsteins to the highest which would add 2.5
