I suspect we will be entering another bull run in the next few weeks, and we'll see ATH's again, maybe by the end of this month.

Mid-term elections in November, markets will be propped up, bonds will continue to be bought up which will keep rates low, dollar will continue it's downward trend.

I see the opposite happening. Lower highs and lower lows have kept occurring since the February plummet. The 200 day moving average has been broken earlier this week. Midterm elections will switch to democrat which in turn brings all of trumps policies into question since he’ll probably never get anything passed the rest of his term. The market hates uncertainty.

Damn. I'm down about 3% today. I'm going to start selling Thursday afternoon and buying back Friday afternoon. I'm seeing a trend of Friday selloffs.

My ML account is only down about 1% though. I try not to pay too much attention to that account since I don’t manage it and it’s a very aggressive investment plan

lol, what a fucking nightmare. I'm going to end up this week without any gains at all. All previous four days erased over 6.5 hours. 2% more to go.

I'm giving this shit one more week to get better. If not, I'm out for a few months. Too much talk of bonds, trade wars, Trump and media specifically targeting major US companies, and fed "comments", none of which are helping.

Yeah dude, that’s why I pulled all my money out after that first plummet. There really was no point , and the stress wouldn’t have been worth it. I nibble here and there and sell within a few minutes but right now there is no point in going long.

IPOs generally speaking will do their own thing for the first year before eventually being a mirrored zombie of the Dow and S&P lol

What do you all think about putting money into Merrill Edge Select? They averaged 8% over the last 7-8 years, and 14% last year. I don’t want to rely on this for a long time, I know there are other options that I am trying to learn about. I like the fact that it’s through Bank of America, so easy to monitor, add and remove from, etc.

Any opinions and ideas are greatly welcomed, I am trying to learn!

I use Merrill Edge for my trading. They are a good broker. That said, just keep in mind the Merrill Edge Select went up with the market the past few years. If this is a down year , which so far it looks to be, it’ll probably go down with the market. Just my two cents.

I agree. They did have one down year in that span I quoted above (the Select program), but probably a few outstanding years to bring the average up. It seems like a good place to put money that otherwise is basically in a shoebox. I am trying to learn about real estate and rentals in the meantime.

You get a lot of perks from B of A as well because the minimum is so high.
