I ordered the Subaru XV01 kit along with a Hobbywing Quicrun 120A ESC and 4650kv motor and an MK4 Supra body. Going to hold off on the servo until I get everything else built. @Silverspool I'll get that other radio/receiver from you if you still have it.

Yup i can bring it next time we meet up, ill bring that extra suspension mount also. Depening on the motor length, you might need to dremel out the motor cage like i did, not a big deal but ull see once you start putting it together.

You think my hard case Onyx 2 cell 5000mah will fit in the battery box? Or do I need to get something smaller? I'll go 3s if having to get a new battery anyway

highly doubt hardcase 5k will fit, my soft 4500 barely fit

Grab some of these, its what I run. 1000 mah charges in no time, should be able to get 1-2 stages off one battery. If you want to run one batt a 3-4mah 3s or 4-5mah 2s soft should fit. Can your charger be hooked up via DC?

I bought a small 300watt inverter so I could charge batteries in the truck like John does. I'll probably go for a couple of the small 3s and change packs between heats.

All this racecar talk is giving me a chubby.

Think I got everything waterproofed on the new setup. Did the electronics th same as before, but shoe goo’ed and heat shrink for the sensor wires. Only one way to be sure if it worked or not, lol. Think I have to drive to Lufkin on Sunday, so I may get out and play with it sat afternoon when I get off work.

Let me know if you're crawling tomorrow. I'm planning on going to the Heights Car Show in Richardson for a little while but probably leave by 2 or 3 at the latest.

Noob question....do I need to buy a Dean Connector for the new ESC? I can get those from HT right?

Yeah, you’ll need a deans. HT has them, new and used.

Will keep you posted on my time frame mañana. Gotta run and grab the Gleam truck when I leave the shop

Well, kinda ironic I got it waterproofed last night. Decided to check my snorkle status just now, “scheduled” delivery date from China was 4.14, but alas, it was delivered this morn! That’s pretty much the final piece to the puzzle, aesthetically, now to play with it and see if I can’t make it perform as well.

    Gucci said it best, “BRRRR”!

Adjusted the esc last night, so hopefully it’s makes a difference. I adjusted the throttle curve the wrong way, so I had to go back and adjust the curve down. Hope y’all don’t fair weather fan on me lol.

I need to go by HT Dallas or Plano before the next crawling meet. Lewisville and Hurst were out of the plastic steering knuckles. They seem to hold up pretty well to my Zero Fucks Given driving style and feel like if I replace with metal, the next part down the line will break. The old adage of "Cheap, fast and reliable, pick two" holds pretty true. I gave up on trying to make the MonsterBolt fast.
