Thanks brother! My silicone caulking job was terrible and hideous bc it would seep in the cracks in some areas and I’d have to go back over it and it’s horrible. But it won’t be visible except under the hood and as long as it keeps water out that’s all that matters

hahaha I’ll say this...I see why folks charge ridiculous prices to retrofit headlights. Separating the housing and lens was miserable

 

It is finished...even though they are switch back capable I decided to leave the white halos out of the equation and just run the ambers 24/7. It just looked too good not to lol. Installation difficulty I’d give it a 6 out of 10. Hardest part was separating the housing and lens but after that it was easy. Definitely worth it in my book. Enough talk...MOAR pictures

 

Sorry to be responding to an earlier post in your thread, but can you change these out without opening the headlight? Do they just fit into the rear of the headlight? Thanks very much, and great looking truck btw

 

Thanks man! And yes you can. Slipped these right in without losening the headlight to do so. I had some Kensun LEDs before and the fan was so big I had to partially remove the headlight to get them installed. But these are the perfect size and fit and install easily and quickly.

 

That's awesome, for that price I almost can't resist. I'm about to pick up my 18 SR5 that I am trading in my 17 SR for and I love the look of the led low beams. Looks like you have led fogs too?

Yea the price is definitely right plus the easy fit. Yea I have some opt 7 fogs and they are not good. They were like $20 lol. Look nice but light output is almost minimal. Currently looking for another option. Nice trade up man!

Did you just wire the LED halos up to the DRLs? Any additions to wiring to make that work?

Sorry for the delay. Out of the xsb box there are 3 wires, white, amber, and black. Black is ground and the other 2 are the white halo and amber halo. Normally you would attach the white to your positive on the side marker and attach the Amber to your DRL lights so that when the turn signal is engaged they turn amber and flash with your turn signals/DRLs. All I did was not use the white wire and connected the Amber wire to my side marker. So now when I have the side marker lights on (the switch setting in between DRL’s and Headlights On) the Halos come on.

 

Rainy cruddy day and a full garage means some tinkering. Bought a $10 shovel from wal-mart, Black vinyl wrapped it (it was yellow and green) and put some
Reflective paracord on the shaft. I’ll mount it to the inside of my truckbed when the weather clears up and I find a viable way to mount it. Should be fine left out in the elements and if someone gets sticky fingers, it was only $10

 

Also did a paracord wrap on my steering wheel with black cord with reflective stripes. Solid black may have looked better but this is what I had on hand lol
