    Looking at swapping my urd blower for a trd and have some questions. Does anyone know what the differences are between a kit for the 05-11 vs the 12+ 1grfe engines are? Is it software or actual hard parts that are different and can they be made to fit the earlier engines?

    Get the OVTune, turn off the CEL for no SAIS, get 05-09 passenger valve cover, urd injectors, tune, done. I simplified that.

    From what I read, the TRD/MAGNUSON supercharger makes less power than the URD, I could be wrong.

    I believe you're right. Most people that went TRD, myself included, did it for the warranty.

    I'm lookin at swapping to the trd due to the power band differences. I'm not drag racing so I don't need the huge horsepower the urd makes but I still want boost and the red kit sounds cooler lol.

    Magnuson always made them, they used to make em for toyota with the trd embossment on it.
    Now they sell it without the trd name.
