If that's the case may need to disable vsc permantley or just turn off trac every time you start up ... very common in lifted tundra, 4runner, Tacoma!

ya, that's what i've heard. i was hoping for a better fix than shutting off VSC at startup every time.

They have a permanent way of turning it off!

i saw that mod- turns off the VSC permanently, but does not "fix" the underlying problem.

Pardon my bringing an old thread back to life, I just wanted to know if you guys are still having this VSC issue today?
I recently lifted my 2012 Tacoma does this pretty bad around whooping corners, I had a 2005 4Runner lifted with 285/70/17s, it was lifted most of the 9 years I had it and never once has it done this so I thought it was something wrong with my Tacoma until reading this thread and seeing how common this issue is. I'm really surprised I haven't heard about anyone wrecking their truck due to this.

Initially when I lifted mine I had a bit of a problem. I got all over it today going around a big corner on boost getting on the freeway and I actually thought about it. Nothing happened. I don't know if the computer adjusted over time or what, but I haven't had an issue in a long time.

I live at the base of the Cascade Mtns and do a bunch of mountain driving. Did the ABS delete and just turn it off. VSC almost caused me a head on collision on the pass so I don’t need a computer to override my 32 years of driving in all conditions. If I can handle 80k of logs and a semi, I can control a Tacoma.

I tried to recalibrate the vsc numerous times- never worked. Tried turning off vsc (push & hold for 5+ seconds while in park). That helped, but my vsc still kicked in. Ultimately installed the vsc & abs kill switch. Not the perfect solution as it kills your abs along with vsc, but that worked for me. Now can turn vsc on/off while driving.

I had the same issue after my truck was lifted and aligned. Tried the reset but it still did it. I have since realigned it (after suspension settled) added an AAL and unplugged the negative terminal overnight (all part of a build/service I was doing). Noticed not too long ago that the sweeping turns that used to set off VSC, no longer do. No sure what solved the issue but thats all I changed. Leads me to think it might have to do with front end alignment and body roll now that I am slightly pitched forward (AAL).
