Man's Suicide Gunshot Kills Wife Too
A 70-year-old man who committed suicide by shooting himself in the head early Sunday morning ended up killing his wife with the same bullet, Wichita police said. Gene Whitmore was lying on the bed when he pulled the trigger of a medium-caliber handgun, police said. The bullet passed through his head and struck his 66-year-old wife Betty Whitmore in the head, killing her as she slept.

Never they may have discussed it before going to bed the night before. A lot of old folks who have been married for years chose to go together.

what an ignorant fucker. at least go in to the other room and not right next to your damn wife. im sorry but that pisses me off. sure he didnt know if the bullet would go all the way through his head but its the fact that he did it laying right next to her.

 

wow, it's pretty hard to kill yourself and then kill someone else. that's terrible to hear though.

 

This kinda reminds me of the guy that used his gun to shot a hole threw his wall to the exterior, because he wanted to run a wire for his satellite. And the bullet ended up killing his wife on the other side of the wall, on the outside.

I see dumb crap like this sometimes. I saw a girl at the range that was looking into the barrel of her loaded shotgun when sitting at a table. That could have went off easily. I almost shat my self watching that, her boyfriend should have taken that gun away from her ASAP.

Gun Safety and common sense people! It's simple.
Always point the muzzle in a safe direction, and always treat it as if it's loaded, even if it's not, etc, etc.

This is not the proper way to use a gun, people like these two guy's give gun owners a bad name.
And I give my regards to the wife's family, should of never of happened.

 

Maybe they decided to go together.

I once ran a call where a guy killed himself by shooting himself in the head, on his young sons bed, in one of the two rooms he was renting out of his friends house.

Anything is possible, but the people that investigate crime/suicide scenes do a very good job. And would most likely be able to figure out what really happened, after investigating everything at the scene.
But I think you bring up a good point, you just never know.

Yeah you're right. They do do a good job figuring these things out. But like you said, you just never know.

 

Well, implying that I don't have a life is a bit offensive an not accurate. I just like bizzare stories and share them.
