    According to toyota it’s a “vortex generator”. Something about reducing drag and improvement in MPG. Like on the rear view mirrors. All third gens have them. No seriously google it.

    Let me know how it goes. I have totally been wanting to do the same thing but the TRD exhaust tip is welded on, so you can’t hang it to paint it. You have to paint it on the truck. Not that that makes it impossible, just less convenient.

    It helps also with keeping the exhaust soot off the paint.

    I’m down to rock the stripes, I have a quicksand and I think there is someone else that did them army green and black. He mentioned he got the idea from you, I just can’t remember who it was.

    Took it for a spin rides great on the truck. Front compartment is a lil hard to close because I want it sealed but they say it breaks in. Rained hard all night No water on rubber just under and out the drain holes working like it should. Locks down tight. Pop lock on order with LED bed lights. Will mount bikes racks on top also.
