I should do that, I did call the dealer back just to see if I got the same answer and this time it was a different guy who just said that item is discontinued. He didn't indicate if it was an instock item like the first sales rep I spoke to.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
I don't think it can be discontinued, I could be wrong but I believe there is a timeframe where Toyota has to legally sell the replacement parts.

Officially discontinued 2/28/2018 according to the Toyota head office. I agree w/you though but I am just going off what I was told.

They still sell the individual parts. The kit is discontinued.

For those who install this kit, did you put a 1/4” spacer also on LF and if so did you reuse the factory nuts?

Someone with a 2nd gen Pro needs to call a dealer and tell them their drivers side front shock just went out and you want it replaced. And see what the dealer says.

They'd replace the individual part as its still available, just not sold in an entire kit as mentioned by polymerhead.

I've got a 2nd gen Pro, I tried this route w/my local dealer but you can supply a part for a customer if none are to be had within a nationwide dealers inventory, well except for the lone dealer in Cali.:annoyed:

That's kinda what I'm getting at. They can't just say "sorry, we can't get the part" to a guy that paid $42k for a Toyota 3 years ago that is now not drivable. Something isn't adding up. I would think they're on the hook to at least offer a replacement of some kind.

Yep I agree completely. Talking with Toyota and it may have already been mentioned in this thread but the kit wasn't a good seller. It was the main HQ that made the decision to slash the price, deplete the inventory and discontinue it. The individual parts are still there but man what Toyota wants for each one of the 4 corners is almost as much as some guys paid for the whole kit. The other set for the Baja's shows there are 90 kits nationwide so perhaps the same fate awaits that kit as well.

I'm just wanting to get a kit to stash back as I have no plans on selling my Taco. FWIW I did find 1 kit online and I did place an order but I am expecting them to cancel my order come Monday when its realized that the kit isn't in stock. Just rollin the dice I guess.

The driver side shock for this kit is already adjusted for the taco lean. Additionally, adding a 1/4" spacer is supposed to be ok with no issues. Several have added one to both sides with this kit.

I have a 15 Pro, and strongly considered buying a kit for when replacement time comes. But i don't have the money to waste on shocks that will likely sit on the shelf for a few years.

Just save up and go 8112/8100 lol

Thanks, adding the 1/4” spacer puts the factory nuts with just enough contact. Maybe it’s my OCD.

Did anyone with this kit include the carrier bearing spacer / drop? Would it be useful for this mod? I was rained out of my install this weekend so I've been laying on the couch, watching the Masters, and reviewing install instructions. One of the videos included the CB spacer.

The Pro kit by itself doesn't lift the rear at all, so no need for a CB drop.

Thanks. I'm doing new leaf packs from General Springs that will lift the rear 1.5 - 2.00 inches.
