What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I like those, which gen did they come off of?

 

3rd. Not sure on the year. I think 00-02 limited.

 

I live in so cal, any take off 5 spoke 1st gen alloys go for $100- $150, and 3rd gen 4rnr alloys, my dream rims, go for $300+. I thought I would keep it on the cheap and just re-paint these. Thanks for the input so far.

Those really do look nice! I’d love to put my trail team wheels on @QMEDJoe truck to see how it looks though! I don’t see many black 1st gen tacos on the road.

 

Yeah. Don't see those that often. I think I remember one other in one of the 1st gen forum wheel threads.

 

Back in the 70's, I had a Ford pickup about the same color, and had gold D-spokes. I liked that combo.

 

Good point, I don't use mine for camping, so N/A for me.

 

I saw that combo once before, looks good, on someone else's truck. I do not feel that brave, a little to bold for this old man.

 

Copper/bronze/gold all pair very well with green. Green is very versatile

 

I’m seriously considering the SCS Ray 10’s in matte grey. It would definitely take things to the next level.

The part that goes from the Uni-Ball to behind the brakes. Where’d you get it and what’s it called? Are those Spindle gussets?
