Wait, are those stock spring perches? The DMZ hangers push the springs outboard.

Intresting that explains everthing, and his previous shackle bushings getting all destroyed. Sounds like the installer didn't know what he was doing. Welds don't look good either.

Measure the distance between the upper perches and lower perches. Should not be the same

Yeah I need to push the springs inwards in order to sit on the axle.

My new perches that I have on for the dmz kit that I’m installing measure a little under 7” from outside of perch to the inside of the hub on each side and the springs sit straight. So I’d measur cuz it looks like yours would be over 8” and that would wreck your bushings for sure.

Did you post up a few pictures a while back of a bunch of metal on metal contact between the shackle and the hanger?

Mine is 7” to the actuall back of brake drums I meant to say. Not saying our trucks will be exact but it still looks like your perches are still in a little farther.

Also when I was talking to Tim about setting it up. He said basically let the springs hang naturally when setting the axle onto them. Said you can move them a little to get them straight but not very much. You could pick up the axle and see where the perches line up when the springs hang down in there natural form.

I’d start checking the hangers for plumb from front to back and side to side. The frame has a tendency to twist.
The rear / \ and the forward frame \ / if I remember correctly. I used a 4’ and 6’ level to get perspective.
