finally had time to install front 5100 struts. took me five hrs at a hobby shop. however, there is clunking noise. not just when turning but also moving forward. will alignment eliminate this problem?

Also, when I measured the distance between the the tires and wheel well, the front was 7.5 inches and the rears were 6.75 inches. is this normal for it to be leveled. i used the second setting from the bottom in the 5100s.

Looks like you still have the stock upper control arms, and being on the second notch even with the stock springs you're right around two inches of lift more than likely the clunk you're hearing is most likely the spring contacting the upper control arm.

just checked it. there is more than enough clearance between UCAs and spring.

wouldnt that be the same as measuring the edge of the tires. assuming the tread wear is normal.

I thought u were asking others to compare their results with yours... in that case the most accurate measurment ive seen suggested over the years has been bottom of fender flare to center of hub.

    Either how

5100 setting are as such (manufacturer listed APPROXIMATE heights) with stock coils

    1st setting
    0" lift

    2nd setting
    0.85" lift

    3rd setting
    1.75" lift

    4th setting
    2.5" lift

Is your sway bar hitting the coils?
    Is everything tight?
    Are the coils properly seated?

Beat me to it, I had the same issue after my lift. Sway bar contacting coils when moving forward and when turning/hitting a bump. Sway bar relocate solved my issue
