What’s good everyone? Happy Saturday. I’m looking to upgrade my exhaust with a bolt on type application. I’ve been scouring the web for different options and I’ve arrived at this one, it’s going for 420$, and i like the fact that it’s powdercoated black. I was just wondering if any of you have it and what your take on it is. From YouTube it seems like it’s a winner. I’d also like to know if you do have it, what are some of the things i can do to make it rust proof, since it’s not stainless.
    Thanks in advance!

@cubfan74 it sounds amazing on YouTube, and the overall response is very positive. 10 minute install and the overall consensus is increased horsepower. Idk about all that, I’m more interested in the look and sound. Also congrats on your World Series title! As a Red Sox fan and former sufferer, i was happy for y’all.

@cubfan74 thats awesome! Unfortunately the downside of winning is blue collar folks like me get priced out of games. There’s no way in hell i can take my family of four to a game, it’s the same price of a full out vacation. Now all you get at Fenway if pink hats and wine and cheese crowd. Damn shame.

Bad news is it's not powder coated. Their site say's it's just black finish, and not recommended for use in area's where salt and chemicals are used. If it was powder coated it could be used in those conditions. Two option, have it powder coat =$$$, or VHT it in a few coat's. Does sound good, No good for upper Midwest salt haven.

It absolutly costs more now, but that was a lifetime of waiting. I splurged a bit!

@na8rboy damn.. i guess i didn’t read it as well as i should have. Gonna have to figure out how much it would cost. By VHT do you mean auto high temp paint? I’m in the Northeast, so salt is n issue too... guess i got some work to do.

Yes, VHT high temp paint. But who knows how that would last in heavy salt/chemical area's.

@-TacoYoda-TRD- thanks for the info! The photo shown is of a two pipe system but the description says one, which one is it? Also wondering if there’s a major price change in American Dollars. I also wonder if the cost to ship it here would make it too expensive

It is the single side exit. Not sure what the shipping charge might be but the package weighed about 60lbs. If you go through he checkout process and fill in the shipping info it might give you a estimated shipping cost. Unless the shipping cost is over $100 i think it'll still come cheaper than the one that you shared off of eBay.

Also, one thing to keep in mind is that if you have a short box truck you will need to cut the mid pipe shorter to fit.

I have the mbrp alumized version. I’ve had it for over year and it’s not rusting. I will say it can get loud especially on the highway with the transmission searching for gears or when it goes from 5 to 3. Other than that I like it and it sounds nice. Louder than the TRD exhaust.

I have had mine for about 3 months now. I coated it with high temp paint to protect from rust. Richmond area so salt not as much of an issue. I will say it is little bit louder than I expected but does sound good. I did notice a loss in MPG's and slight loss in power. However I am overall happy with the choice.
