There was a thread I read through a few weeks ago that had various recommendations on wheel and tire setups but I can't find it for the life of me. Anyway, I just bought a 2018 trd sport, all black and wanted some recommendations for what size rims and tires would be good. I won't be lifting my truck any time soon but I will be going off road a couple times per month. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Id get 16s if youre going to be offroad frequently. That extra sidewall will come in handy

For tires id go with 265/75/16 to avoid rubbing with the stock setup

Like I said, I am new here. I came across this forum a few weeks ago when I decided I would get a tacoma and found a few threads on wheel and tire setups. Right now, being an accountant during tax season, I don't have a whole lot of time to be browsing around aimlessly. Anyway I am still getting my feet wet with navigating the site. Thank you for the link.

The wheel I'm looking at is a 18" rim with a -12 offset. Could that work with a slightly smaller tire?

Depending on wheel width -12 will stick out just a smidge but yeah will work use a tire diameter calc to find 18 same size

This pic is 265/75/16s (BFG K02s), which I ran fine on stock suspension:

This pic is what I run now: 285/70/17s but not stock suspension.
