What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

FWIW, I can't get anywhere near that numbers for caster. I still reccomended the negative camber as it helps you get more caster out of the lowers.

 

Idk if you can tell or not but a prius cut me off and clipped my front bumper. There's a couple of scratches in it but it's nothing compared to it lol. Cop looked at her dash cam cause she tried to blame it on me. He looks at the video apparently her camera has a front and back view. Clearly showed she just turned into the lane I was in no turn signals or mirror checks. Her rear fender and bumper is dented and torn up pretty good. I didn't bother taking pictures cause of traffic. So first gens +1 Prius 0

 

If I ask for that outa the LCA’s they probably wont get there, but it will be a good number for them to shoot for, at least that way they should get past 3°

I feel like its a negotiation everytime. Will make note of the negative camber.

Unless you have heimed uppers or LR, I would just ask for the max amount of caster, and know they should be able to get more caster if they allow the negative camber.

They're both Eaton M62 (1.0l per rotation), just have a different housing so it bolts up nicely to the 3RZ.

This is definitely true. Alignment techs are not used to customers knowing anything about this stuff. And some are just lazy or under pressure from their management to get it on and off the rack as quickly as possible.

The trick is to find one willing to listen and work with you. Also, to get maximum caster out of the LCAs, all 4 cam adjusters must be totally free otherwise you'll never get there.

Rough.... I haven't met any techs here yet but a couple AZ folks keep telling me the Firestone right by my house has a guy that knows what's up when aligning Tacomas

 

Nevermind tried to find a egr valve on the truck and I don't have one. I'm probably going to get a S/C with a 7th injector kit as well. What else should I get for it?

Reason why I was concerned was because the previous owner had a engine replacement done and I can't remember if toyota did it or not. And I didn't know if the engine was a 2001 or later
