I have some 5/8" and 3/4". Once you get it on the ground they set really easy, more durable than concrete and impervious to just about any kind of chemical. I doubt any kind of machine with rubber feet would ever move. No border, no tamping, no mess, no fuss. The one's I just bought are 4'x6'.

2-4" rock as a base then 3/8" under the blocks for shim & compaction...topped by the 1-2" to keep things in place and appeal to the eye....
    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

And yes that is grass and leaves on the ground :p I behaved and did not pan towards the Riva' for that view :D

There is a concrete pad that AC installers use under the compressor. Not sure if it's large enough for the generator but it's one piece.

It’s all about the bass about the bass about the bass.
Going to do a little more today then I’ll let it sit for a week and let it settle then decide if I’m going to put a mat or something under it .

Ah, if you already own the material, just keep going. Anything you do is going to be better than nothing and people have been using those pavers forever and never have to look back. My mind went to you not having material already and starting from zero.

For work and those tables, I'd like to pour a concrete pad then put the rubber pad between that and the tables. Then the contractor can spray off the mats to keep the mineral from creaping even more. We have a high mineral content in most of the areas around the lake and it devours concrete tables.

I wouldn't use any krete. Lay them down flush and flat and lock them with paver sand. I did the mower ramp for the shed 12+ years ago, still good. I put a layer of sand down first and leveled. Bricks on both sides on end to keep side to side movement to a minimum.
