Hi everyone, my battery just died, I was'n having any problems with it and it just stopped working, I have have 30 months with my truck and 44,000 milles.

I called the dealer to see if it has warranty and it had 3years/36000, sucks for me.

So I'm looking to get a new battery, should I get an OEM or are there any suggestions?

    Please help!!
    Thanks.

I usually just swap my old battery for a new one at Costco. I have no need for a crazy ass battery.

I just had mine replaced under warranty... Stupid thing was 29 months old

Knock on wood, the battery in my car is 6 years old... got it at autozone (while stuck in the middle of texas on vacation ) I usually get the one with the longest warranty

Sears PLATINUM! They are re-branded Odyssey Batteries. I just replaced my factory battery two weeks ago with one of these. 4yr. "no questions asked" and I think 8yr pro-rated warranty. Good stuff!!!!

    No mods whatsoever!
I've only gotten 3-4 years out of any battery in Florida. I think it may be the air conditioner sucking the life out of it. I went with the Optima red, so we'll see how it lasts.

#1 Odyssey $$$ pricy but worth it $$$
    #2 Optima Red Top

These are sealed batts that can be mounted upside down, sideways, you name it.... and can take major vibrations and high temps without the insides being scater-brained . I run them in my adventure rig and will be throwing one in the taco when the stocker nukes.

Get a Duralast battery from autozone. About $85 for the Gold version with 84 month guarantee. I think they're made by Johnson Controls.

Most batterys in the U.S. are made by Johnson Controls.
    My OEM is.
I use Optima red topsYep Johnson make them too.
    Arizona is hard on batterys.
I used to expect 2 years out of them here.
Any amount over that is great.
You do not need an expensive gel battery but I figure they are worth it and will change out to one after about 2 years on my new truck.

Has anyone seen a rating on the Optima in Consumer's Guide? If so, what year and issue of their magazine? I don't recall seeing it in there.
