Agree completely. Bought the Lamin-X lens film for my Morimotos and it was a frustrating PITA to install. I even warmed the lights and film to make them more pliable, used lots of soapy water, and painstakingly ran each bubble out with a squeegee and some mild heat from a hair dryer. Even with all of that, still botched the first attempts and had to peel it off and start over with new film, which I had to order. Followed the same procedure as above again, and finally had a perfect job....or so I thought. Less than a week later, the edges on both lights were rippled like lasagna noodles. :annoyed:

Flat lights probably are fine, but on curved lenses it wants to keep buckling at the edge. I still want yellow fogs, but not enough to cough up $500 and I can't justify ditching the new Morimotos just for yellow.

Thought about that but rock chips suck to fix, 3 years now and they still look as new as day one.

They sell 2 different ones. Apparently tacoma fog lights are slightly different between trims. I ordered the T554Y. This is the one to get for the Off Road models. The SR5 have a different part number. I am not sure if that's what you need for limited or not.

Either way. I installed them dry and it worked perfectly. Start in the center and run your finger in ever increasing circles from there to the edge. I also removed the black plastic trim that surrounds the fog lights to make it easier. It just pops out. Here is a link to a post I followed to install mine expect for spraying anything, I did mine dry.

probably cause the LAMIN X overlays are 12 mils thick and are harder to stick on a small round surface even with heat gun application. I I used some yellow film from EBAY that's about 3mils thick and it was somewhat easy to heat and get down on the fogs, I suggest buying a sheet of yellow tint film from EBAY cost about $4-$5 and trace out the circles with a jar/coffee mug bottom as a template and cut them out with scissors and youll have enough sheet left to trace 1 or 2 more as backups if the first fail, mine were 3inch diameter.the seller on ebay is called JDM Fanatic.

I Did Order the t554y and it was round and even put on my friends off road and it didn't fit. I wonder if the the other one is the right one for oval fog lights. I looked right now and the t154y looks more oval. I emailed lamin x and asked Thanks for that helped a lot.
