Thanks! I'll be ordering some of these soon. How was the install? Did you go through the hood or peel back the wheel well cover? I'm assuming it's plug and play?

Install was quick and painless, I went down through the hood. It is plug and play with the Tacoma Kit.

There's a guy at church with one, and has asked me that question twice now. I told him, "it had to grow up someday, but hey at least you've got a V8."

I have a first gen Tundra I bought new and a 3rd gen Taco. The Tundra was the reason I stuck with Toyota. I got the Taco because the new Tundras have gotten too big. I didn't want to be one of those tools whose truck is so big they can't figure out how/where to park it. But I do love the power of the V-8.

I would absolutely love to be able to add this Dual Swing to my OEM Bumper. I really don’t want a new Front or Rear Bumper, but it sure would be nice when I have my Bed Rack and Tent on my Truck to finish off my setup with this! Anyone have any ideas or how to make that happen. Probably can’t but I would be down if someone could come up with that solution to make it happen.

Looks amazing. Now you need to paint the rest of that piping. When I did mine, it stuck out like a sore thumb and was driving me crazy. Eventually I’ll probably get the full TRD Exhaust System and get it all Painted or Powdercoated before I install it. I don’t know. Looks great tho

Did you roll the Noico smooth with a roller? Did you use dynamat as well?

Finally finished swapping my color-matched flares for matte black ones. Knocked one out Friday and finished the last three yesterday evening. But I wanted better lighting for the pic, so I waited to post about it today.

I'm not sure how you would be able to integrate the stock rear bumper into a setup like this -- I think the wilco swingaway hitch is as close as you would get. The rear bumper doesn't have a lot of support aside from the hitch area, so it would be awkward to build anything that was strong enough to support what you'd probably want, unfortunately.

I am rebuilding my mobtown rear bumper to be a dual-swingaway, so I can show you how I'm doing mine if you're at all interested.

How much of a hassle was dropping the headliner? I think I'm going to do it sometime to dynamat/sound damping sometime soon but it looks like a real headache.

This is probably going to be my next project.. doing my doors during the speaker swap was a PAIN IN THE ASS, but it was worth it. took me about 45 mins a door. but i can assume the roof is easier due to just placing big ass sheets all at once and rolling them out after.

How does the work this entails compare to the results?
