I did a rear add a leaf and got 3" when that was combined with replacing my old crappy leaves with new take offs. Zero vibes of any sort.

Late comer, but is anyone selling their TRD pro suspension kit?? If so, hit me up. Thanks! Is the Baja TX series the same set up and will it fit the 3rd gen?

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
The Baja series will fit, the lift on a baja ends up a fraction of an inch higher than a Pro.

Baja and pro are the same basic setup TRF specced 6112 front, 5160 rear, new bump stops in front and a small spacer that goes under the brake line mount on the axle in the rear.

Valving is reportedly a little different, spring rate on the Baja is #650 and Pro is #600

Both use a 3x14 eibach coil that is red. Both spec the lift as about 1.75 inches on a second gen.

On a 3rd gen it will be about 1 inch less lift.

The lower spring seat on Baja is square, and the Pro is tapered, cosmetic difference only.

The rear shock resevoir on the Baja is bare braided line, the pro has a rubber sleeve over the braided line.

I have run, and love both. Personally I prefer the Baja's tuning, but it is not a big difference.

A few more questions please. Just got my General Springs HD so all my parts are in to match your lift. Not sure of the following:

    - wanted to confirm driver side leaf is the tapered one
    - which leaf end is front and which is rear
    - did you use stock u bolts or purchase new ones
    - did you have any issues with brake lines or anything else

    Thanks

Installed my kit last week (along with an Icon AAL), and had my new wheels and tires installed just in time for my birthday. Overall, I’m very happy with the ride quality and stance of the truck.

Wheels: Mickey Thompson Classic III Black 16x8
    Tires: Falken Wildpeak AT3W 265/75/16

Just want to thank everyone on this board for all the good info.

Did you remove the factory overload? Do you like the ride?

I kept the overload in, because I wanted to keep the rake. The shocks have settled over the past week, and I’m very happy with the ride. I haven’t had the chance to take it off-road yet, but it takes all these post-winter potholes like a champ.

Any chance you can post a straight-on side shot of both sides? I'd like to get an idea of what the rake looks like with the OL in without spacers up front.

    Looks good, thanks!

Check my post #1766 on page 89. I have a side shot. 3 leaf progressive AAL+OL, no front spacers.

I saw yours, but didn't you mention that you had 200lbs of load in the rear? Or did you not have that in, in the picture?

Correct, except my math was off. It's closer to 150lbs. Two 70lb bags of sand, some traction boards and 20ft jumper cables.

I know a few people are looking at the PTR13-35140 kit for the FJ, I just received mine and wondering if anyone has the tacoma kit to compare. Looks like it might work. Might have to buy the Bilstein Reservoir clamp for the rear shocks though.

The hd's are not side specific. Both should be exactly the same. The brake bracket on the springs should be placed toward the front of the truck. You can reuse your ubolts. I have had no issues with brake lines or anything else for that matter. I am very pleased with the ride and quality of the general springs.

I installed the PRO kit on my Tacoma Sport and it’s time for new tires. I’m curious as to what’s the best size for the truck without trimming now that the lift has settled. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated. Currently I have 265/65/17 tires on the truck. I plan on sticking with a 17” wheel. Probably gonna spring for the matte black TRD rims so a 17x7 wheel.

So would 275/75/17 work? I know you said under 285.

    Correction 275/70/17

Put 255/75/17 under my truck, and could have gone 255/80/17 without any trimming.
