For what it's worth my trail gear single leaf gave me 2" lift, ride is about the same, and it handles heavy loads great. I've been dragging our 17' boler around getting it ready for summer and it doesn't sag much and hasn't settled at all with the substantial tongue weight.

I used a HeadstrongOffroad 1/4" spacer on the driver side along with the side-specific springs and it made it even. It's only another $30 and it adds nothing to the install.

Thanks for the reply. I figured it wouldn't hurt even if it ended up a hair higher on the driver side given a full tank of fuel and the fact that I rarely have a passenger. I definitely don't want to do the install and have to tear it back down to add the spacer after the fact and then realign.

Yeah, @Rob Daman convinced me with his build. He did that exact thing. If it does sit a hair higher, it's definitely not noticeable.

Biggest concern I have with the single is ride quality loss. I also don't have any experience with this style of leaf addition so maybe I am expecting the worst.
Air shocks and helper springs are the closest I come and those both bit for ride unloaded.
I don't haul anything over a couple hundred pounds ever (and rarely at that) and don't tow. In truth, only reason I would consider an add a leaf with this set up is to regain rake similar to stock.

Does look like it might be a good option without cutting the clamps.
With some miles on yours now, no signs of contact at the spring clamps with as close as the AAL ends are to them? Any squeaking or noise out of them?

My hesitation with that skyjacker is that eventually, under some circumstance, there's going to be contact. Pure speculation. But a real possibility.

In my case, the truck is pure very light duty street use and the closest thing to full articulation the springs ever see is a speed bump or pothole from hell.
I am assuming that the longer length of the Skyjackers along with the tapered ends contribute to a nicer ride. Would consider trimming a little off the end, maybe a 1/4", for additional clearance but don't know how that would play out with the tapered ends.

No contact signs at all so far I keep checking because I was worried about That! I haven't put any heavy load in the back yet but I 'll update everyone as I abuse it some more!
No noise at all! Keep in mind I had very squeaky leafs and had the dealership add the Teflon pads right before I added the leaf!

Installed this lift yesterday with JBA UCA’s and a 1/2” top spacer since I have a full Mobtown skid plate set and sliders. I also left my sway bar off. At first hub to fender measurement was 24” and settled to 23-3/4” after driving around a little. I was hoping it would settle some more but not this much. After mobbing over a few berms in a dirt field it now measures 22” driver side and 21-3/4” passenger. I’m not happy with these results, I don’t know how I have so little of lift. I wish I would of left my spacer lift on that was 23” HTF.

Don't know why you are at 22" with 1/2" top spacer plate. Mine is at 22-1/8" both sides without top spacer plates, on for 6 weeks.

I don’t think the weight of skids and sliders makes that much difference. I doubt the sway bar being removed makes any difference in height. I was wondering if the UCA’s are binding up not allowing the vehicle to return to ride height after mobbing the berms. We installed the thin inner washers that some leave out and my friend may have over tightened the UCA bolts?

Try jacking front up and see how the suspension droops. That way you should be able to detect a bind, if you have any.

Jacked up the truck and the UCA’s don’t seem to be binding. My truck was sitting at 24” HTF again off the jack. After driving around it settled back to 22”. I ordered a 1-1/8” spacer from wheelers which I’ll install next weekend and see what it settles at. On a positive note I ordered a set of SCS Ray 10’s to clear the JBA UCA’s. My current wheels are +14 offset and rub at full turn.

It just doesn't make sense, why it's at 22" with the 1/2" spacer. Did you check numbers on springs? I know some people got wrong set sent to them, for 4runner. Don't know if that would cause it to sit lower. Yours should be PRT13-35150. You should be around 23"

Yeah I seen that other people were getting the wrong spring so I checked mine they were the correct number. It doesn’t make sense to me either two weeks ago we installed the same lift with a 1/4” spacer on my friends 2018 leaving the stock UCA’s and his sits at 23” from hub to fender. I don’t think 250lbs of armor makes that much difference.

FWIW I was just over 20" before lift center hub to fender, now at about 22". 500 miles since install. Are most people at 21" hub to fender stock?
