I'm not from the area either, hard to tell you. But take I-15, exit hwy 18. Some nice BLM land out there that's worth checking out.

Dman100 . This is Old dale road, I took it from north east side off the park, by hwy62, took Gold Crown Road, I explored some of the mine road off crown road the back to JT Park. Berdoo canyon is off hwy 10, towards the park and ends up at the geology tour road. I did want to to beerdoo by my self.

One of my favorite parts of the Mojave for sure. We crossed paths near Kelso and the lava fields by a day or so on my way to Death Valley. Would like to do the Mojave Road again soon too with my Taco, but was wondering if any water got into the cab (at all) on the Mojave River crossing...

Looks like Pipes Cyn Road a bit, too. Have you tried it? I recommend it. Old Dale Road in Joshua Tree is really fun, some rocky steps to contend with, but I made it with stock height - just scratched my pie tin a bit.

No not really. The sills were wet but not inside the cab. The bottom is not level right now, I walked it first and the left side going west is shallower

Berdoo Cyn is off Dillon Road - nice place to go,too. Its actually easier than Old Dale road, especially in the rocky steep secrion. The Geology Tour road in JTNP is a favorite also, looks like you had fun on Old Dale as well!

I like entering the park from Berdoo Canyon and driving out going north on Old Dale, making a big circle around JTNP. All are cool places!

Back from a 5-day trip through and around Death Valley NP. Used our Smittybilt RTT for the first time, worked out great. 5-minute setup and teardown made moving camp real easy. If we were staying in one place for a few days, a ground tent would be better, especially if you are using it as a base camp, but for nomadic traveling where you only stay for the night in each place and moving along afterwards, RTT’s are great. We were able to more easily find good camping spots in rocky areas for the RTT too. I used my new sliders a couple times on this trip, it’s especially nice to have them when traveling loaded down and while trying to access some of the remote mine roads around the park and while searching for remote campsites in the dark!

There’s a cool mining camp in Titus Canyon called Leadfield with a funny story of it’s founding and demise shortly after:

After Titus Canyon, we headed towards Chloride City in the eastern side of the valley to find our next remote camp, lots of nice places and scenic driving back there (sorry, no pics).

Day 3- Our camp in Nevada on BLM land just outside the boundary of the northeast corner of the park. There are a lot of legal and great places to remote camp all over the valley and adjacent to it on BLM or USFS lands, so don’t pay to stay in the regular campgrounds if you know how to use a shovel and bring your own TP! :)

Back from 17 days at Moab EJS/CA/AZ. I was one of the lone Tacoma actually on the trails. I had been there with a Jeep years ago and this was on the way to Disneyland this year so we stopped for a few days. Ran Fins-N-Things, some Rim Trail, and Hells Revenge. Not bad at all. Tons of undercarriage damage, but new skid plate when I got home will fix that in the future. The frame braces and cat protectors get hung on everything. Love my RCI Aluminum skids! It was windy and cold this year, so we bounced to Sedona for trail riding and CA for a few days. file-1.jpg file3.jpg file12.jpg file11.jpg file4.jpg file10.jpg file9.jpg

Nice trip through some amazing country! Can you imagine what your stock exhast would have looked like without your reroute?

Well here's the thing, it look like shit because it is stock. I honestly thought I ripped it off one time. Goes to show, that yes it is in a bad spot but it really is fine there. I literally dragged it over an rock step and it lived. That being said I will be rerouting it asap.

I think the pictures make it look like its gone but it

I was there Mar 23-26. It was windy as hell, which made camping fun. It rained on friday I think and that made the trails muddy and slick but kept the dust down. Missed super Sat but hung out with Mickey instead, so seemed worth it. Moab is great but I wont be goind back for EJS, just not worth it if you dont have a jeep IMO
