Ok so went and took the wife for a ride this morning. Got back she has a casual "job interview" so decided to hit the garage to work on her truck while she is gone. I'm drinking fyi. Lubed all the front end. Cut off old brake line brackets on the rear end. Ground down all the mounting points for sliders to re paint and get rid of the rust. Painting grill to color match. I better get laid.

Edit. Do I go ahead and do the dirt king lower control arms too?

I’d say do it, and while you’re working hard making that truck even sweeter, I’m hanging outside relaxing:

Drive Apache Trail all the way to Rosevelt lake. Amazing drive past the lakes and along the salt river. Only one pic.
Topped it off with Rudy’s BBQ. Now I need a nap.

@Nitori I gotta ask, why spring hangers, shocks etc etc with a 2WD?

Drove the Apache Trail with my family this past Thanksgiving, in a rental T4R... was fun. Gorgeous scenery, easy terrain, it's a great day trip.

Judy's Cook House in Globe... They have cinnamon rolls that are really damn good. Basic diner fare otherwise.

Because I don't wanna have to slow down for washboards. :D

There's a more complex answer in there somewhere but let's just leave it at the aspiration of trophy truck / rally truck silliness. Not to go into full write up mode but suspension on any vehicle makes a world of difference, especially in terms of body strengthening like those spring hangars. Letting the suspension do the work as opposed to various degrees of body flex = instantly feels better regardless of what you are driving.

And for what it's worth that's why I'm talking about mid-tier but good stuff and not going balls to the wall top of the line crawling gear if I'm not going to be crawling.:transformer:

    Workin' on it....
I just put my budget lift (Bilstein TRD Pro package) on maybe 4-6 weeks ago and I'm looking at replacing the springs with 650-700 lb coils or just upgrading the front totally. :anonymous:

    Fair enough.
And yes suspension is key on anything with shocks.

Interesting day! Got the bed stiffners installed but lost 2 of the bolts to hold my tail lights in place. Added some stickers to the truck too!
This was all while drinking really bad Coors light as I "needed" to test the new cooler. Why I purchased that shit is beyond me! Terrible but job done and got my much needed bottle opener on the truck! :)
