I would just get the tabs separate to weld on yourself with the shock on hand. The only kit that comes with the uppers already setup is the total chaos kit which has specific specs for shocks to work.

other wise its impossible for the fabricator to know what shocks your running and the exact configuration.

On top of that, just get the solo kit if you want a kit like that. Not sure if that guys are cheaper or not but either way you won't be able to run a shock bigger than 10'' any ways as your leaf packs won't cycle more than that anyways.

The 2nd image is a better design then the one in the 1st image. I wouldn't trust the bends that go into the frame. Those bends will give and flex more then the other one that is cut and welded to another tube that is welded to a frame. just my .02

One near rear bumper. A Grand Prix decided to drive under my chrome one a few years ago and cracked the chrome, it was starting to rust so a standard issue black off ebay for $79 was installed today.

The solo kit is 300 his is 60 so a huge price difference. I was thinking solo but for the price idk. And I was thinking that just as I am now. I'm running 14in shocks if I ever change leafs then I'll have the shock for it, or if I got shackles wouldn't I get a little more travel?

It also has supports that go to the top of the frame think that helps with the flex on the hoop. This is a better picturedorp_shock_hoops.jpg

Does it matter which way the shock eyelet goes? Such as bolt going threw shock same direction as frame vs as if it were going threw the frame?

In a year to a year and a half I'll be looking at a second truck. Not sure if it'll be a Tacoma though as they are all rusty around here and everywhere else people seem to want stupid amounts of money. I paid $750 for mine so my mindset is skewed and I'd struggle to pay the $10-$15K some people want

not really. the SOA setup is the limited factor with the stock geometery. idk how your running 14s right now without seriously limiting your up travel.

Yeah I kinda stole it. Neither one of us knew the value of the truck really. He wanted $1,000 and I got him down to $750. I just saw it as a truck with 238k miles and a good candidate for a work truck. It's not until I got it home that I realized it's true value, especially with it being rust free, having TC UCAs, 3" OME lift, new 33s and a new radiator. I have done a fair bit of fixing though, new LCA bushings, LBJs, inner and outer tie rods, new valve covers with gaskets, timing belt, water pump, all fluids, ujoints and rear pinion seal. After I get the truck back from the body shop I'm in this truck roughly $4,000 in total.

Still, most of us that paid 10k or more for our 1st gens had to do much of the same maintenance/repairs to ours lol. Definitely a once in a lifetime deal right there.

I have a bed cage. If anything I'm probably limiting down travel right now.
