Any feedback on your experience with the shop or with the leaf springs?

I've been playing with the idea of Chevy 63's for a long time but I don't really have the mod bug for the Tacoma anymore. Kinda want to just take the easy and reliable option rather than journey farther down the road of irreversible mods.

 

Do a little research. There are two versions of the Dakar’s now, one being heavier than the other. I’m not sure if they have regular and heavy duty now or if they have lighter duty and regular, I don’t know what the specs on the new sets are vs the originals

 

It’s a Jeep place for the most part. I didn’t even go there in the truck - I picked them up with the tC.

I still have them on the truck. Ants got the same but
He’s got the AAL as well. Mine are just the standard ones.

No complaints... I just put my cap back on finally today and here’s a before & after.

Truck sits well.

 

All I've ever seen was a standard and then the

$77 d29xl leaf spring

d29xl or whatever add a leaf for heavier trucks.

I'll see what I can find though. Priced out that setup from wheelers and its $168 for shipping. Ok4wd doesn't have a real great website in that department. Just shows the whole "lift kit"

 

I went there to save on having to pay shipping since they are so heavy.

 

Yours don't have the add a leaf? How have they held up with the shackle flip? My expos are basically inverted, kinda wavy actually. All the isolators are gone, leaves are twisting out, some are rubbing on the front hangers.

 

Found the thread I saw the change in, check it out. Maybe wheelers hasn’t updated their inventory. According to @Subway4X4 wheelers sucks cause they don’t have two day shipping anyway

No, they are the standard Dakar pack.
Held up pretty well so far.

@HeadStrong Off-Road is where I ordered my Dakar’s and most of my stuff. They include free shipping that you knew shipping carrier before purchasing and excluded stale candy. They get my business whenever I can.

Just got my B 110’s from Wheelers.

 

The air bag setup I have would be better to tow the quads.. Cheaper than new leaf pack and you can prob keep your pack now. The weight is on the bag direct to the axle.

 

Dakars w/ AAL

 

I suggest welding an 8’ length of square tubing to the bumper. Then, Use it as a lever to bend it back into place.

If that doesn’t get it done, put a 4’ bar into the end of the square tube, and get a fat guy to hang from it.
