Assuming you are opting for "boots on" to provide an extra level of grip?

I do that but I also put the factory rubber floor mats under the blanket on the seat backs. Other wise it's even worse and he's slipping and sliding like crazy.

Maybe I can just pull the seat backs of and get a rubber coating like rhino liner or something sprayed. I like to keep things as low key and simple as I can.

I have spoken directly with a Toyota tech who is a friend of mine and I DO trust. The 2016 and newer trucks are a sealed tranny. They (Toyota) use a machine that does indeed flush the entire system and measure temps in each section of the tranny to ensure proper fill levels. This also involves starting the vehicle every 3 quarts in to circulate 3 quarts out. It is a HUGE process and is normal which is why it is so spendy. Also, if anything were to go wrong I have the Platinum warranty on the truck that I paid employee pricing for.

I was skeptical at first which is why I asked another Pro shop that I trust given the people I know that installed several things on my truck. They too said you need to do a total flush the correct way if you want to have your vehicle operate optimally for a LONG time.

I am not debating with you. This is fact from the people that work for Toyota and maintain these vehicles. They use special equipment to flush the system to not break any seals and to get all those micro particles out of those tiny places.

This video shows part of what Toyota does (the fill in new, cycle out old), but the guy in the video is not using the temp measuring equipment that Toyota uses to calculate temps for each part of the tranny.

For the record, i appreciate your insight and I am still investigating many options, so please do not think I am rolling my eyes too your advice. As of now the opinion for these new trucks is leaning towards total flush that is from Toyota themselves. I am going to call several different Toyota tech shops over the week to investigate what process they use for AT tranny fluid changes

I think the issue you're going to run into is minimal thickness of your material or else your seats won't lock back upright. There's always these uglyass things: http://www.orvis.com/p/grip-tight-q...q8J2vMEkK8AcjiT4em1uFzRuDUwID11kaAtbDEALw_wcB

OME 2" medium kit with full rear dakars. New UCA's
New UCA's added turning capability alot. Less radius now to do a full circle

    will 255/85-16's fit without rubbing?

    Serious question:

I have gotten the ECGS bushing in my driver side CV. I have 2.5 degree shims between the rear Dakar leaf pack and the axle and I have gone from 1/16” all the way up to 1/2” of spacer in the carrier bearing. And finally I have taken my driveline to a pro shop to have it looked at.

No matter what I do I get a weird harmonic rhythmic vibration from about 38mph to 43mph. This is the only place it occurs and it happens more when slowing down even if my foot is off the gas. Any thoughts?

I don’t know but I can turn the steering wheel more and the tires angle more. Maybe it has to do with the UCAs being SPCs with the camber adjustment but the camber is set at stock

I been skeptical about draining and filling my transmission fluid. I checked it a few days ago and it looks like engine oil. It has kind of a reddish color to it but it's mostly black. Should I drain it or should I start saving enough money for a new transmission?

Sounds like it needs a change. As long as you don’t see a lot of metal flakes in it....tranny’s are expensive

The only way would be less caster. Thats it.
And we would be talking a tiny amount. Steering lock to lock would be the same.

    Before the lift? No
    Before the bushing? Yes
After the bushing? No...for a little while

Reset battery and it seems to help the vibration for some miles and then it comes back

It is very harmonic and parabolic in nature.
Occurs more when slowing down even if foot off the gas or brake. Sometimes there...other days not so bad
