What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

this will be me soon enough once I get some nice weather and the wife to leave me alone for 5 minutes!

I did get the truck vacuumed out prepping for seat cover install. which I didn't get to when cause the appeared and said..."what are you doing?" my response..."finishing up vacuuming". What I was thinking...

Did you let it rest in the upright position for a couple hours before running it?
They cool down faster if you fill them with cold food. Way faster!

 

Yup I like to set my cooler full of ice with lid open inside. Cools it down fast AF

 

got the transfer case skid mounted over the weekend. Also picked up a hi-lift so I had to test out the sliders. No Tacoma’s were harmed by a hi-lift in the making of this picture.

 

Maybe half hr but bout 3pm today I'm gonna start switching everything over. Should be good by then either way

 

Gathered up some scrap metal to make me some front bed braces / tie downs..ordered my T nuts from Hondo Garage...pictures when completed.

 

Mine does the same. She gave me shit yesterday on why washing her truck was taking so long. Wtf, see asked me to wash it. Lol

 

DIY snorkel this past weekend

 

Trucks going to be parked for a couple weeks. Bumpers are off, will go in for powder coat this week. Prepped the front frame ends for SOS frame braces wich add 3/16” thickness and increase hardware to 1/2”.



Some other items on the list are Red Goat Fab cab mounts, redo all the aux wiring, add full time bed outlet for the ARB, some new rear suspension hardware and supper bumps.

 

How was it drilling the frame rails for the transfer case skid? I've got a full set that I plan on installing this week (weather permitting).

 

Not bad with a step bit using WD-40 as lube. Just wear some safety glasses.

 

GooGone isn't so good at removing tonneau covers... oh, wait... you meant the sticker! Just a little hair dryer action on the sticker and it peeled right off. Yes, I used GooGone to remove the bits of sticker residue from the tailgate. You'd never know it was ever there.

That should buff right out its not that deep.
